The X Factor - It's Time to Face the Music: Week 8

It's the week before the semi-finals and Jukebox week - meaning we were able to choose one song for the finalists to perform, with celebrity artists One Direction, Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith, Little Mix and Tulisa picking their acts other songs.

Yep, the acts will each be giving us two performances tomorrow night, which surely means double the pressure.

Tensions are bound to be high, with all judges having only one act each left - apart from Simon, who has two. With Andrea being in the sing-off last week, and rightly so, in my opinion, the competition could go any way.

I'm still a tad sad that we won't be seeing Stevi strut his stuff on stage - but I'm sure this lot will keep us just as entertained!

Here's what the five remaining finalists will be singing:

Boys
Andrea Faustini -  Hero (Viewers Choice) AND Candelier

Girls
Lauren Platt - Don't You Worry Child (Viewers Choice) AND Clarity

Groups
Stereo Kicks - Run (Viewers Choice) AND Just The Way You Are

Overs
Ben Haenow - Thinking Out Loud (Viewers Choice) AND Come Together

Fleur East - If I Ain't Got You (Viewers Choice) AND A Fool In Love

HOLLYOAKS: The Game

We all love the crazy, mad Hollyoaks life, right?

Well, we can now live it ourselves - kind of - in the form of the new Hollyoaks game, which allows you to become the newest resident of the village, exploring  a virtual version of Hollyoaks, as well as stepping into the interiors of The Dog, The Hutch, Price Slice, the McQueen house and many more, while completing various challenges and 100 different levels.

Twelve of the show's popular characters, including Ste Hay, Darren Osborne, Theresa McQueen and Tom Cunningham all feature, with the ultimate aim of the game - solving the mystery of Nana McQueen's missing pearls.

The game looks quite familiar to The Sims, on first look, as shown above, but finding the mystery pearl thief won't be easy. In true Hollyoaks style, there are twists and turns ahead and anyone could be a suspect.

To help you along your way, you'll receive texts and voicemails from your favourite characters, as well as being able to unlock 'selfies' to make and share photos with them, too.

Head to the Hollyoaks website to download the game, which is available from the Apple Store, Google Play and Amazon (Android).

A Hollyoaks spokesperson commented:
"We are really excited to announce the game which will fill the spaces when Hollyoaks is off-screen. We hope that fans will enjoy seeing the imagined world of Hollyoaks and interacting with characters on the set while sharing scores with friends."

EASTENDERS - The Speed Picks Up for Lucy

It's almost December, which means there's just over three months until EastEnders' 30th birthday and the reveal of all reveals - Who Killed Lucy Beale...

Now, we know that over the Christmas and New Year period, it will be made clear who didn't do it, so keep your eyes peeled. We also know that following Denise's crucial discovery of Lucy's phone and purse last night, which we know were buried by Jay and Ben, that more secrets are set to tumble out.

Ben will apparently make a confession and Lee Carter, while watching a video of Good Friday's party on Lola's phone, will lead him to realise that someone lied about their alibi and whereabouts on the night Lucy was killed.

My conclusion: Whitney lied? She's Lee's girlfriend, so the one person who he'd be concerned about telling porkies. He also know's that Whitney and Lucy weren't the best of mates leading up to her death.
As for Ben...maybe he went to mug someone that evening of Good Friday, as we know he and Jay were robbing an off license, and realised afterwards that the person he attacked was Lucy? In a panic, once finding out that Lucy was found dead, Jay and Ben came up with the plan to hide the belongings they stole from her... Hence Jay's secret calls to Ben at the time.

Online whispers are that Lola killed Lucy (why?) or maybe Abi (possibly, but she and Max already have something to hide about that night...) as they're the only two people that Ben, and most definitely Jay, would cover for.
Others are saying Lee - but I don't think it'll be a Carter - they have enough upset and drama going on to bring them full throttle into Lucy's story, in my opinion.

As I've said before, any of the obvious ones I doubt it'll be.

Jane is an interesting one. Ben Hardy, who plays Peter Beale, thinks Jane or Ian (accidentally) could both be good suspects as the culprit.

I don't think it's Ian. I'll be disappointed if so, as a very good part of this storyline has been the effect Lucy's loss has had on Ian and his family. And I also don't see how or why Ian would kill his daughter, accidentally or not. This also goes for Peter. Yes, there may have been jealousy in Twindom, but by no means do I think it would have led to Lucy being left on Walford Common. If anything, I'd imagine both Ian and Peter having crumbled by now and confessed. The shot when Ian broke the news about Lucy to Peter - the silence in the Square, and Peter's pained response - was, surely, too beautiful a scene to then have a reveal that it was one of these who killed her.

Back to Jane, however... As much as I don't see why she'd want to do it, maybe something happened off-screen to cause it? She's not high on my list of suspects, but who is? I'm still at a loss with a stand out murderer, but I do believe that we should be looking out now for little lines, looks and clues which could point us in the right direction.

Remember that Dominic Treadwell-Collins has already said that the person who killed Lucy doesn't necessarily have to be caught and punished. So it really could be anyone - and not just somebody easily disposed or leaving the soap.

We might find out who did it in February, but Ian and his family might be kept in the dark for a little longer.

Are you any nearer to guessing Who Killed Lucy Beale?

THE X FACTOR - Double elimination sees Stevi and OTY leave

How did you all like Elton vs Whitney week?

The shock of the weekend was definitely Stevi's performance... No, not the Egyptian 'I'm Still Standing' rendition (which was special to say the least!) but his sing-off last night... Once again he showed that he does have some good vocal talent and I wish he'd used them more in the Saturday night shows.

It was Stevi's week to go, though, as he was up against judge favourite Andrea. Only Simon saved his Stevi, and commented that more passion was shown during his performance than Andrea's and I have to agree. Andrea's Saturday night performance was also not up to par in my opinion, and I agree with entertainment journo Dan Wooton in that Andrea's becoming too much of a one trick pony.

The double elimination also saw Only The Young go home on Saturday. I'm not sure if I was surprised by this or not, but for me, Stereo Kicks are proving themselves to be the stronger group...

Highlight of the performances? Ben and Fleur yet again. I love how Ben changed I Will Always Love You into a version of his own and disagreed when Cheryl said taking a risk was too much at this stage. Surely that's better than being the same each week?!

Next week the final five sing two songs - one of which will be chosen by us viewers in a Jukebox theme.

Head over to the X Factor website on tap the app before 11am today to have your choices heard...

I've picked mine!

The X Factor: It's Time to Face the Music & another DOUBLE ELIMINATION - Week 7

Between Whitney's power ballads and Elton's mix of rockin' tunes and slow love songs, we're in for a pick 'n' mix of treats tomorrow night on The X Factor.

But it's going to be a tense night as the powers that be have dropped another double elimination on to our contestants.

The person with the least amount of votes will leave straight away on Saturday night and the second during Sunday's usual results show. (Did I do my Dermot bit okay, there?!)

Would you choose an Elton track or a Whitney sing-a-long?

Here's what the remaining finalists will be entertaining us with:

Boys
Andrea Faustini - I Have Nothing

Girls
Lauren Platt - How Will I Know?

Groups
Only The Young - Something About The Way You Look Tonight

Stereo Kicks - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me

Overs
Ben Haenow - I Will Always Love You

Fleur East - I'm Every Woman

Stevi Ritchie - I'm Still Standing

HOLLYOAKS - Mercedes seems dead, but was Freddie the killer?

As I suspected, Mercedes McQueen was (or at least seemed to be) murdered in last night's E4 Hollyoaks.

After blackmailing Freddie and Lindsey, having witnessed their kiss - and then ruining Carmel's funeral in her drunken state - Mercy was at rock bottom, with her family accusing her of stealing Carmel's ring and mum Myra saying she wished it were Mercedes who was dead.

Packing her bags after finding a ticket in her name to Alicante, Mercy assumed that Freddie had found the cash to send her on her way. But one sinister shadow and a swipe of a knife later saw Mercedes come face to face with someone who was about to kill her.

But was it just one shadow at the door?

Take a looks at these photos:

Speculation online has come up with the theory that we're being lead to believe Freddie's the culprit. As the shadow above definitely proves to look like him...

Yet in the one above here, the shadowy figure is wearing a hoodie and looks much shorter than Freddie.

Maybe Freddie was on his way to threaten Mercedes, as Lindsey had asked him to stop her spilling the beans to Joe, and stumbled across someone else getting there first and killing her.

He ran away looking shaken by what he'd just witnessed?

Or, knowing he could be the prime suspect, he cleaned up the mess left behind by the mystery murderer?

Hollyoaks fans have been guessing that the small frame of the mystery person could mean that Lindsey was behind Mercy's stabbing. I don't think this would be case... Or others are guessing at Silas' return? Or maybe it was Freddie and the other shadow witnessed him doing the deed or is just a red herring?

Jennifer Metcalfe has even spoken of the mystery around her exit, in a Story of Mercedes video released by Hollyoaks, Jen hinted that the exact details of what happened could stay under wraps for a while.

She said: "Mercedes's departure is totally shrouded in mystery. Running up to the week where she exits, she has really annoyed pretty much everyone in the village, so it's 'who's done it?' Who has she got involved with? What's gone on off-screen? Is it all as it seems?"

That tells me that the police will be going down the wrong path, should they accuse Freddie.

I'm looking forward to finding out what happens over the coming weeks. Are you?

EASTENDERS - Peter Beale's leaving the Square. Why? How?

It's been confirmed today that Ben Hardy, who plays Peter Beale, will leave EastEnders at the end of his current contract.

I revealed recently that it's been rumored that Peter will go down the same drug path as his murdered twin, Lucy, meaning there could be an endless list of possibilities to how Peter could bow out of Albert Square.

Will Peter tragically die from a drug overdose?

Will he decide to leave girlfriend Lauren for a permanent move to New Zealand - where he's currently holidaying and visiting his brother, Steven?

Or is Peter Lucy's secret killer?

It's not been said whether the exit is Ben's decision or that of EastEnders...

If Peter does die - due to drugs, or another means - how will Ian cope with the death of both his twin children? And if Peter is revealed as Lucy's killer, it will mean he'll be off at the beginning of the year, coinciding with his girlfriend, Lauren Branning's, temporary departure, as actress Jacqueline Jossa goes on maternity leave.

His exit could also lead to Lauren's get-away - will she turn back to drink because of Peter's fate?

Either way, this will surely open up a whole new set of roads for both the Beale and Branning families to go down... And I'd put a bet on that it won't be a happy ending!

HOLLYOAKS - Will Mercedes be murdered?

It's been an emotional week for the McQueen's, after the tragic wedding train crash, which killed Carmel.

But if my detective work is correct - Mercedes could be the next member of the clan to be cruelly taken away.

We know that Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercy, is leaving the soap soon - and it's been promised that she'll go with just as much drama as her sister, Carmel.

Mercedes has already rubbed Freddie Roscoe up the wrong way, after revealing to Grace that Freddie killed her dad, Fraser. If you didn't see the drama of last night's E4 first look, then tonight's Channel 4 will catch you right up!

Without spoiling too much, the episode ended with Lindsey going into labour in The Loft, just as she told Freddie that she was handing him in to the police...

It's known that Freddie and Lindsey will give in to their feelings once again, after Freddie delivers the baby, who's not known whether to be his or his brother - and Lindsey's fiance - Joe's. The pair are caught by a mystery person, who goes on to blackmail Freddie.

Before long, this mystery meddler is paid a visit by a sinister individual - and then goes missing.

The meddlers family isn't too worried at first, thinking he or she has just gone on holiday, but when their passport is found at home, the police are called.

Freddie then realises that he's lost his necklace, and returns to the scene of the crime, just before the police think they have enough evidence to launch a MURDER investigation...

Is the missing person Mercedes?

Has Freddie killed, yet again - and what will this mean for Lindsey, him and his possible newborn son?

I'm A Celebrity has come back with a bang...

When the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestants are revealed, I usually get really excited about one or two and then have a silent grumble to myself about not knowing who most of the others are... before becoming totally hooked on the jungle show. I do have to say I like this lot already - and I'm even more pleased that Josie whats-her-name didn't go in!

I think I'm speaking on behalf of most of the country when I say that Ant and Dec make the whole show with their quips, jokes and banter. Two mates loving their job and having fun with it. Last night was one of the best examples of this, when they belly laughed, genuinely, at Jimmy participating in his Bush Tucker trial.

From the offset of Sunday night's launch show, when Jimmy and Mel Sykes had to put their hands in unmarked boxes of critters, you could tell he'd be chosen as the fall guy for the trials. He was petrified! Luckily Mel was on hand...

I had an opinion of Mel before Sunday... I have never really taken to her as a presenter, but in the jungle she's changing my opinion of her, and she seems a really nice woman, who has more balls than some of the men in there!

Then there was Gemma Collins, who's had a bit of a bad rap via social networking sites since entering the jungle... In my opinion, Gemma's just as I thought she'd be - but funnier. Of course, she's not trying to be amusing, but her one liners and genuine looking fear of the jungle is hilarious. What did she expect?!
I think her camp mates will soon get bored and annoyed, maybe, at her ease of giving up on tasks - but maybe she'll adapt in time. I certainly hope she doesn't walk! She needs to do a Bush Tucker trial before she leaves!

All of the other camp mates seem like entertaining, nice people. Apart from Kendra, who seems quite self-centered. The fact she didn't want to save Nadine, because she might strut around in a bikini, in 'competition' with her is ridiculous.

Get over yourself, love.

Tonight, there's no show due to the football - but it will mean that we'll hopefully see two Bush Tucker trials in tomorrow night's episode, as Tinchy Styder was picked by us last night to win food for camp, and the Slammer camp mates will have endured a night of hell before being released into the main camp.

Another whisper is that Eammon Homes may be one of the late comers to the jungle - as he revealed while hosting Friday's This Morning that he'll be heading Down Under - but couldn't say why, and reminded viewers to think of the 'late jungle entries...'

Apart from Ant and Dec (obvs!) who's your favorite so far?

And do you have high hopes for this years jungle celebs?

THE X FACTOR - Scary's Shock

Remember how I said Big Band week was one of my X Factor faves? Well, it didn't disappoint. Each act gave it their all, in their own way, and to be honest I agreed with Simon about Andrea not being as good as Leona and how I wished Lauren would have got up from her swing mid-song (although that's Brian Friedman's thing, not hers).

Stereo Kicks smashed their Mack the Knife rendition, especially after only having 24 hours to learn it.

My faves this week were Stereo Kicks and Fleur... Closely followed by Ben and, Jay, I have to say.

As for Stevi. Well, I thought his song was bad. Bless him. I've mentioned before that there's an underlying good voice amist all the dad-dancing and big productions but that didn't show on Saturday. It was his time to go.

However, then came Sunday's sing-off.

Jay found himself there for the second week running - with Stevi, for the first time.
'He's had a good run. They'll definitely send Stevi home,' I thought, probably with the rest of the nation.

had doubts about Cheryl. She chose Stevi as Simon's wildcard, so I thought she might show some loyalty.

The two guys sang. In all honesty, Jay wasn't that strong. But I still thought he'd be okay.
But then Stevi came out - with his Queen song from last week - and he sang. He held his notes strongly, hardly went flat and he fought for his place.

Then came the judges:

Simon sadly sent Stevi on his way, followed by Louis.

Mel was next. Did you notice before the judges choices, Cheryl gave Mel a shocked look?
Well it was no wonder. She was confused. She gave Stevi his first compliment from her and praised his efforts. She then saved him and sent home Jay. What?!

With that - Cheryl - still looking bemused - also opted to send Jay home and the public vote did too.

Stevi is left to fight another X Factor week.

And that week is: Elton John vs Whitney Houston.

Oh yeah!!

Bring on next Saturday..!

THE X FACTOR - It's Time to Face the Music: Week 6

This week is possibly one of my favorite X Factor themes... BIG BAND!

If my memory serves me right, Big Band week hasn't been a part of the show for a good couple of years now, which makes it all the more exciting.

Singing with a live band, I think, really shows off vocal talents, meaning there's even less places to hide the off note or two.

So - get your mic and Mr Bojangle dancing shoes at the ready, because here's what our remaining finalists are singing this week:

Boys

Andrea Faustini - Summertime (by Ella Fitzgerald)

Girls

Lauren Platt - Smile (by Nat King Cole)

Groups

Only The Young - I Wanna Be Like You (From The Jungle Book)

Stereo Kicks - to be confirmed...

Overs

Ben Haenow - Cry Me A River (by Michael Buble)

Fleur East - Bang Bang (by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj)

Jay James - Empire State of Mind/New York New York medley (by Alicia Keys/Frank Sinatra)

Stevi Ritchie - Mambo Number 5/ She Bangs medley (by Lou Bega/Ricky Martin)

EASTENDERS - 'Nude' calendar to be released for Children In Need

Remember how, last week, the Walford residents were all preparing to be photographed for a 'nude' calendar? Well, that said calendar is set to be released for real - all in aid of Children In Need.

You can purchase the calender at the Children In Need website, for £10, with half of the proceeds going to charity.

Good move, Enders... A great way to make the audience feel part of the show, I think.

You too, could have the same calendar as the Jackson, Carter and Mitchell families, hung up in pride of place in your kitchen!

There are some great shots - for both the men and the ladies - with conveniently placed items helping to cover our favorite characters in the shots.

EastEnders is playing a big part in this years CIN, which airs on BBC1 this Friday night - as ghosts of the past come back to haunt Ian Beale and One Direction perform live from the set.

Will you give the calendar a buy?

EASTENDERS - Shock as Carter member decides to leave show

I was shocked this morning, when it was confirmed that Johnny Carter will be leaving his family behind in Walford.

The decision was actor, Sam Strike's own, and an EastEnders spokesman has said they are sad to see him leave, but wish him well:

"We can confirm that Sam is leaving EastEnders. We wish him all the best for the future."

Sam also tweeted fans to confirm his news, saying:

'Thanks for all the love this year guys. Means the world. Decided to bow out. couldn't have done it without you all . thanks @bbceastenders. And of course tremendous love to my Carter family . True love.'

It hasn't been said how or why Johnny will end up departing the Square, but it's sure to break mum Linda's heart, when her 'little sausage' flies the nest for good.

Johnny will be the second Carter to bow out, as it's also recently been revealed that Timothy West is leaving his role as Stan at the end of a terminal cancer storyline, which began last night, when Aunt Babe found out where Stan had secretly gone for the afternoon.

It's going to be an explosive Carter Christmas, as Linda's rape horror will surely come to a head, and Mick gets revenge on Dean for hurting his wife. But will Linda go through with her abortion before the truth comes out? And if she doesn't, how will Mick feel about the fact the baby could be a result of Dean's attack?

I'm have a niggling feeling that, should Linda keep the baby, it will turn out to be Mick's - hopefully helping her and her family move on after such a horrific ordeal. If anyone deserves a bit of happiness in soap at the moment it's Linda - who has beautifully been portrayed by Kellie Bright.

What are your thought's on Johnny's departure and the Carter family's issues?

THE MISSING is missing nothing

Give me a drama featuring James Nesbitt and I'm there.

Which is why I initially watched The Missing, when it started a couple of weeks ago. Now, it's a staple in my Tuesday evenings and it has all of the components that a gritty, thrilling drama needs.

The story, in case you haven't watched yet, is all about the Hughes family - Tony, Emily and their young son, Olly.
Olly goes missing after an evening swim with his dad. France have just won the World Cup and among the excitement, no one saw who took Olly (if anyone did) or where the little boy ran off to (if he did).

I think it's safe to say, though, that Olly was taken.

Going back and forth from the present day, to when Olly disappeared, we soon learn that the Hughes marriage did not survive the trauma of their son's missing status. Emily is now married to Mark - a British police officer, who somehow managed to worm his way on to the case.

It's this man I do not yet trust...

Tony can't forget what happened to Olly, and returns to France in a bid to get the case re-opened. with the help of Julien, a now-retired detective who worked on Olly's disappearance when it happened. The two men succeed after Tony sees a photo of a boy wearing the scarf Olly had when he went missing. Tracing that scarf to a house - Tony soon notices a picture drawn on the wall in the basement. The same picture Olly drew of his dad, time and time again. Olly was kept in this house.

This is just a bite-sized piece of the story so far, so if you haven't seen any of The Missing yet, hop over to BBC iPlayer to catch up...because the story is only just beginning.

Who did take Olly?

With journalist Malik knowing 'what Tony and Emily did,' and police officer Khalid feeding information to Malik... what are their stories? And surely whatever Malik knows about Olly's parents isn't directly linked to his disappearance?

Olly's grandfather - in the present day, has passed away - but he and Tony had a secret, which could have put Olly in danger.

Then there's known sex-offender, Vincent, who was a suspect - but his cast iron alibi was actually bought by wealthy property developer, Ian Garret. Vincent is currently seeking chemical castration to "cure" him of his urges. He claims innocence, but his story surely has some relevance to Olly's case... And why was Ian Garrett so interested in the disappearance when he saw the press coverage on TV. He even offered a €100,000 reward for whoever finds Olly.

My number one suspect so far, is Emily's new husband, Mark. The officer who wormed his way in and on to the case... He grabs Emily's phone to stop her hearing it ring, and when she does, he never tells her it's Tony calling. Is he just protective, or does he have something more to hide?

We'll find out more during tonight's episode three, on BBC1 at 9pm.

Tune in - because The Missing cannot be missed!

HOLLYOAKS - Sinead's baby's father, is...

I know, I know - this week's Hollyoaks should all be about the End of the Line train crash. And it is... Really,  it is... But I couldn't let pass what a little birdy is rumouring around.

So, remember that Sinead left the village after finding out that she's pregnant? And we're all thinking that Tony is the dad... Well apparently, it's Ste!

The one night stand between the best buds has come back to haunt them, should the whispers be true.

Oaks bosses are thinking of lining up a 'Will and Grace' style set up for Ste and Sinead. But where will this leave Ste and John-Paul, who are rumoured to be getting hitched on Christmas Eve. (Let's hope that this McQueen wedding goes without disaster!)

Sinead will apparently tell Ste he's the dad in a whopper of a scene, but the time and place is being kept schtum.

I'm not sure how reliable the rumours are, and I'm even thinking that Sinead could use Ste as a cover dad, so not to upset mum Diane with the truth that Tony is the real father... Hmm.

What do you all think?

HOLLYOAKS - End of the Line begins!

Tonight is the beginning of the End of the Line.

Hollyoaks' biggest, and rumoured to be BEST, stunt ever.

The wedding party train is set to crash, burn and explode, leaving lives in the balance and some lives ended.

As we know, it's Porsche McQueen's wedding to Lockie Campbell, meaning the train will be packed with our favorite family - along with the bad Blakes!

It was revealed this weekend that the cause of the train derailing will be Sienna (it had to be, really, didn't it!) and Maxine driving to the train station, so that Maxine could re-declare her love to Dodger, who's also on the train, playing happy families with Theresa and baby Myra-Pocahontas.
The girls' car ends up stuck on the tracks, leaving them desperate to get themselves and the car off the tracks as they see the party train hurtling towards them...

Both girls manage to escape (as we know that poor Maxine ends up giving birth in a railway hut, with Patrick then leaving her, telling people she's dead!) - but cray-cray Si-Si ends up fretting that her daughter Nico is also on the train, after finding the teens hoodie near the wreckage. As Dodger attempts to stop his twin from going onto the wrecked carriage, the train explodes, in a fireball. Will this be the moment Sienna tells Dodger that he is actually Nico's dad? If so - that might cause an almighty explosion of it's own!

Meanwhile, before the train crashes to it's fate, the McQueen's also end up disowning Carmel all over again, when Myra (the adult - not the baby-Pocahontas!) finds Carmel's passport, along with little Kathleen-Angel's, realising that she was planning on fleeing with Theresa's eldest girl.

Although Carm pleads with her family that she changed her mind - and didn't want to run off with Sonny and Kathleen-Angel after all - they still say that they can't forgive her.

Will Carmel be a victim, and how will her family feel if she dies, knowing they broke her heart right before hand?

Watch the start of the drama tonight, Channel 4 at 6.30pm and First Look on E4 at 7pm.

The X Factor - Louis' decision send Paul off...

What a weekend full of talent over on The X Factor... It could only, possibly be topped with Big Band week! (Which is back - next week - yay!)

At the end of Saturday night, I had no idea who would be in the bottom two, as the quality was so high. Lauren really pulled it out of the bag as Cheryl's only girl left, and Stereo Kicks handled their 'extra member' very well!

My faves are still very much Ben and Fleur...

Paul Akister was the unlucky chap who was voted out last night, after a fabulous (note my Sharon O impression in your mind!) sing-off with Jay James.

A few people now I've spoken to don't really rate Jay. And like Paul. But for me, Jay's sing-off was emotional, heart-felt and very easy to watch. Don't get me wrong, I like Paul, too, but he's a tad awkward on stage, I feel, and that makes me feel awkward watching him. On a CD, I'd listen to him happily, but he's got less of a stage persona than Jay. And The X Factor for me would be someone both watchable, entertaining and a good voice.

Some say that Louis should not have taken it to the public vote - but maybe he just couldn't choose? Or maybe he wanted to save Jay, but felt it best to say he couldn't choose as he didn't want to upset Mel? As a judge, Louis does need to 'man-up' somewhat... but hey, I'd miss him should he not be on the panel!

Of course, now this still leaves Simon with all four acts. Mel with one, Cheryl with one and Louis with his two groups.

People are also saying about Stevi. Should he still be in?

I've said before that as far as the 'entertaining', 'comedy' acts go (think Wagner and Jedward...) Stevi can actually hold a note and sing. He's not the best, and he knows it, but we've also got to remember that Cheryl chose him as Simon's wild card - so he was given a place after the final 12 were chosen and good luck to him!

Big Band week always brings out the raw talent in people, I believe. So I'm looking forward to next week!

The Beale family, still coming to terms with the death of Lucy, are about to have a new crises on their hands, as Peter turns to cocaine. Just like his twin sister in the months before her death.

Unable to cope with turning 21 without Lucy by his side, Peter is still reeling from how little he knew about his sisters lifestyle and decides to take the drug to try and get through his birthday. But what road will this lead Peter down?

Many people have pondered whether Peter actually killed his sister, in a rage of jealousy, having walked in on Ian telling Lucy that she was his favourite on the same night of her murder.

I'm still sticking to my guns that anyone who looks obvious now is going to be innocent.

But how will the Beale's cope with this latest drama?

How will Lauren deal with her boyfriends habit, so soon after dealing with her own demons?

And who DID kill Lucy!

HOLLYOAKS - Another serial killer to strike?

Hollyoaks villagers could soon have yet another serial killer on their hands, as someone administers a lethal injection at the hospital, to an unsuspecting patient.

The focus has been growing on the hospital set, which has grown since the departure of the SU bar and the student halls.

All viewers will see is a gloved hand committing the killer injection, leaving us all wondering who the culprit could be.

As the storyline, which is rumoured to be a major plot for next year, runs, it becomes clear that this mystery assailant thinks they have the right to play God with people's lives - and is obviously someone with access to patients at Dee Valley.

Tegan Lomax and Lindsey Butterfield already work at the hospital, with newcomers Dr S'avage, Kim Butterfield and Celine McQueen will all also have a big prominence too.

Knowing Hollyoaks, there will surely be lots of twists and turns...

But the number one culprit so far on my hit list is Dr S'avage. He looks shifty to me, already...

HOLLYOAKS - Shock twists in train crash aftermath

The aftermath of the Hollyoaks train disaster shows the bad Blake's - Patrick and Sienna - make some shock moves to push things in their favour.

As Maxine goes into labour after the smash, in a railway hut, Patrick soon emerges with their baby daughter. He tells the paramedic that Maxine has died during the birth... Will he steal the little girl and where exactly is poor Maxine?

At the hospital, Sienna is being questioned about her part in the crash, when Patrick arrives to tell the rest of the survivors about Maxine. But what he doesn't realise is that his daughter is planning a scheme of her own.

Sienna soon flees the hospital - with a hostage. Who is it? And what will those dastardly Blake's do next?

Knowing Si Si, it could be anyone in her grasp... My initial thought was Maxine's new baby, but surely that would be kidnap - and not hostage. So will it be Dodger? We knows she's obsessed with her brother. Maybe Theresa? Sienna has it in for her, because of her love for Dodge. Or someone else completely... Will whoever it is need medical attention?

We'll find out more next week!

HOLLYOAKS - Horror Train Crash: First Pics

As we know from the newly released trailer, there's going to be a massive train crash in Hollyoaks very soon - and life will not be the same again.

It's been revealed that the cause of the crash will be Patrick Blake, who would have just reunited with his wife Maxine, after blackmailing her to return to him. It's since been noted that abusive Patrick will soon return to his old ways, and leave a tracking device on Maxine's phone - locating her to the terror train, where Maxine's true love, Dodger, is playing happy families with Theresa McQueen and their baby daughter. (Don't say you're confused - this is Hollyoaks after all!)

Newcomer Lockie, and his bride Porsche McQueen are celebrating their nuptials on the party train, when the accident happens - meaning each of the McQueen family, along with Cameron, Dodger, Maxine, Patrick and Sienna - are involved in the crash - and explosion to follow.

Who's missing?
Carmel wakes first, and looks for survivors, but does this mean she'll survive herself?

We know that both Carmel, and her sister Mercedes, played by Gemma Merna and Jennifer Metcalfe, are leaving Oaks... Will they both die?

Who survives?
The spoiler pics show multiple versions - with characters missing in each. One picture sees McQueen favourites Carmel, Mercedes and Theresa all missing from the main lineup, while another sees Myra, Dodger and Phoebe absent.

It's also been revealed that Maxine will give birth in a woodland shed following the crash, with Patrick at her side. Will she and the baby be okay?

Knowing Hollyoaks, it'll be a shocker either way this story goes. But I think it's a given that either Mercy or Carm will be victims of this... Maybe even both of them...

THE X FACTOR - Last Girl Standing

Last night's The X Factor sing-off was a bit of a sad one, as Lola gave the best sing-off performance of the series, in my opinion.

Stereo Kicks were also good, but I feel Lola could have given so much more to the rest of the competition, therefore I was sad to see her go, after the judges votes took it to deadlock. It also means that Lauren is Cheryl's last girl standing.

The Fright Night weekend was actually one of the most entertaining of the series so far, and I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of the acts - Stevi was really good singing a more serious song, Ben was fab, Paul faced his worries and rocked it - but also, some of the 'definite good' acts didn't impress me. I thought both Andrea and Lauren had a rough week...

Saturday's first elimination was Jack - and rightly so, I felt.

He seemed such a nice lad, but I always forgot about him, so for me - he won't be missed... Jack and Lola's exits meant that it's only Simon left with all four of his acts. As he keeps reminding everyone!!

Cheryl's only hope left of winning is Lauren, which is no weak feat. I think - in the words of Louis Walsh - 'she's a great little pop star' but just needs to get that sparkle back she had at the beginning. Talking of Cheryl, what did we all think of her performance? I'm not too sure if I like the song yet, but she definitely puts a performance on. And it must be even more nerve-wrecking performing at your place of work...

With still no guess as to who could win, my faves are still Ben and Fleur.

It's Queen vs Michael Jackson week next week (after being changed late last night from Disco) so it's bound to be a week of big ballads and massive rocking out!

Just what a girl likes on her birthday...(mine, by the way!)

Roll on Saturday!!

EASTENDERS' Creepiest Halloween

Last night's EastEnders was pretty much the most eerily felt one I think I've seen - and this time last year, Michael Moon was murdered right there in the Square, by Queen of all witches, Janine!

Nick Cotton's re-intro has been beautifully done. Subtle hints to Dot, and the way his ghostly (and ghastly!) reflection lingered at her kitchen window was enough to make me go goose-bumpy. And this was just Thursday's episode!
Last night, however, stepped up a gear when the truth finally dropped for Dot. I was pleased that she realised herself that her son was alive. It gave her the gumption she deserves, and proved that she wasn't a 'silly old fool.'

'I know you're here, Nick...' and out he popped, lighter in hand, wishing his dear old Ma a 'Happy Halloween,' in only a way Nick could.

Perfect re-entrance for the perfect 'Enders villain.

With Nick, though, I hope to see him have a different edge about him this time. Dominic Treadwell-Collins has done wonders since being back at the helm of EastEnders. He's bought Ronnie back to her best and made the no-so-perfect, but my new favorite, couple in her and Charlie. So I hope the writers are going to take Nick to new heights too...

Maybe a grandson will change him? Maybe he's met his match in his new daughter-in-law?

I'm excited, either way...

The 'new' Abi has excited me too. I say new, as she's literally had a personality transplant since Jay ended their relationship and she accidentally killed her dog, Tramp.

I think the change came with her cold - 'things die' - comment to Emma Summerhayes. That was the turning point for me to make her a big suspect in Lucy's murder case.  Although I'm still sticking by my theory that anyone who could look a possible suspect now, probably isn't the killer at all...

It was Abi, though, who was most scary in last night's ep. Without knowing it to be her at this point - the Weeping Angel mask was horribly frightening... The silence of the scene. I could tell it was a girl from the height of the person Lauren was chasing, and we soon found that Cameron wasn't behind the mask, stalking Lauren on this occasion...

Why would Abi want to scare her sister to this degree, though? Is she just a twisted teen, or is there more to it?

Lorna Fitzgerald, who plays Abi, has said that her character just wants a bit of attention and set out to only scare Lauren, with no ulterior motive... Do I believe her? Well, do you?

With Christmas coming up, the focus will certainly be shifting back to Lucy's murder - as we're sure to find out more clues, leading up to February' big reveal.

In just over three months time, we'll have the answers we want - but will the story really stop there?

Brad Pitt to play Nigel Farage?

Brad Pitt - Hollywood legend, husband of Angelina Jolie and ex of Jennifer Aniston... Know him?

Well, he's been tipped by Ladbrokes to play Nigel Farage in a new Channel 4 drama, based on a UKIP government.

In all fairness, Brad himself is right down the line (at 500/1) in those famous faces but topping the list is Michael Sheen (3/1) and John Hanna (5/1), with Martin Clunes not so far behind, with odds of 10/1.

Michael Sheen has already had great feedback from his previous interpretation on Tony Blair, so I guess it's only right that he's firm favorite for the Farage role.

Matthew Shiddick, from Ladbrokes, said:

"Sheen fits the bill perfectly, but if they want a hapless Prime Ministerial performance, Hugh Grant has some form at 33/1. We suspect Brad Pitt might have more suitable projects lined up, so needless to say he's the rank outsider."

With UKIP being a major debate talking point for many, this drama may well be a hit - if only for the discussions it could cause! I can almost hear the Gogglebox gang, now!

Would this be something you could see yourself tuning in to, even if Brad isn't the starring role?
