In 11 days - that's Tuesday 7th June - Emma Willis, who's practically JUST given birth to her third baby, Trixie Grace, along with BBBOTS' Rylan Clarke-Neal will be welcoming a new host of Big Brother contestants, aka Our New Best Pals for the summer!
I'm actually more excited about this series than I have been about any other in recent years, because so far it hasn't been given a 'name', like Timebomb for example.
Rylan has already said it'll be a "brand new game" and it's been described as 'unpredictable'. That there is one of my favourite words, as its sub-meanings could be 'exciting', 'shocking' and...'OMG'. Exactly what we crave from BB, right?
Channel 5 have also teased that from (perfect Marcus voiceover voice!) 'Day One in the Big Brother house' the housemates will be "under attack from an unseen ominous dark force that will have a dramatic and divisive effect on the house. Whilst things may appear to be straightforward, Big Brother will ensure that no-one will have the entire picture. There may even be deeper connections at work. The housemates are not alone and they should be prepared for paranoia and suspicion." Ooo-err!
There have been rumours of a split house, or two separate houses, after planning permission was received to extend the plot. Other whispers are that celebrities and us mere civilians may share one house... I'm not sure about the celeb rumour because CBB is fab in its own right, and has been promised to follow right after the summer series.
We also haven't had any house pictures yet, which is always a highlight of any Big Brother build-up, so who knows what other surprises are in store?
But those teasers at Channel 5 have also revealed that the house has been "transformed into a slick, stark monochrome world. Whilst everything may appear to be black and white, that certainly won't be the case. Viewers should prepare for a 'yin and yang'-style force to evolve Big Brother for a new generation. This force will affect the housemates for better or for worse."
