HOLLYOAKS: Major hearts for 'Trienna'...
Okay, so Sienna is possibly my fave Hollyoaks character (apart from Brendan Brady, obvs...).
Even in her crazier days, I was championing her.
And now I'm champing her new, possible relationship with Trevor Royle. Oh yes. The pair have been sharing a few close chats, as Si-Si helps Hollyoaks' hardest man come to terms with PTSD, following an attack on him by Sienna's fiance, Ben, his son Dylan's death at the hands of Gloved-Hand Killer, Lindsey, and a stint in prison for being framed for the Gloved-Hand killings himself.
Now, Sienna's friendship with Trev was met by a few 'WOAH'S' on social media, and over the weeks we've seen them strike up a closer bond, with Trevor especially looking like he's falling for arch-nemesis Ben's girl.
I think the pairing is genius from the writers, and the chemistry between Anna Passey and Greg Wood is electric.
It's also genius, especially with the messy situation revolving around Ben believing that Trevor killed his daughter, Carly, when actually it was Sienna's daughter Nico (who's set to turn even more murderous, herself, if the rumours be true...)
I also think it will give us another layer of Trevor, who's always been the 'scary' one in the village.
Sienna has (somehow!) managed to redeem herself after her crazy plots against Nancy Osborne, and pretending to be pregnant. Now she's softer somehow, and her relationship with Ben turned her into a family woman... but after Ben's erratic behaviour of late, it's easy to see how even Trevor, who's showing his softer side with Si-Si, looks appealing.
Anna Passey, who plays Sienna, has tweeted a pic of the two with the quote 'Trouble.'
Trouble, yes... But brilliant trouble at the least! And so many questions...
This week, things take a turn, as Sienna is stabbed, but who does it?
Both Nico and Grace are in the firing line - as Trevor finds Grace over a lifeless Sienna while Nico does a runner. With Trevor looking worried about his new love interest, just how far will their secret relationship go if Sienna pulls through? And how far has it gone already?
Sienna just has to pull through the attack on her, because this is a plot which could run and run. WIth Trevor on her side, will Nico's dramatic behaviour be reigned in and how will the teen cope if she learns of her mum's deceit on her step-dad, Ben, who she seemingly adores. Seemingly, because I also wonder if Nico is a little obsessed with Ben and wants to replace the daughter he lost. The daughter she killed. How will Grace behave if she finds out?
Ben has already attacked Trev once, so he may well do again if he catches the pair in the act.
But then, if Sienna and Trevor do fall head-over-heels, will it be the making of them both?
Forbidden love... Triena forever... But then again, look what happened to Freddie and Lindsey Roscoe!

Hollyoaks: Get ready, Freddie!
I was devastated when Freddie Roscoe was killed by his wife, Lindsey (aka The Gloved Hand) but it didn't last long as the good people at Hollyoaks didn't keep his survival secret from us for too long.
Fred has since been holed up in Police Witness Protection, and will soon be let loose back into the village, when DS Thorpe - who is possibly the worst copper, ever, in soap land! - realises that Trevor couldn't ever have been the serial killer.
While Freddie has been away, the Roscoe's have said a final farewell to poor Ziggy (still can't get over it, *sob*) and Lindsey has managed to get her claws back into her 'safe place', that is Joe.
While things begin to look up for Lindsey, in more ways than one, and Kim is happy that her sister (probably!) won't kill again, Freddie phones his wife...
The conversation will surely go one of two ways...
'Hey honey... I'm home back from the dead!'
It's this one that would prove to us that Fred doesn't have a dolly-donut that Lindsey is the one who almost bumped him off.
But seeing as she's now 'pregnant' with Joe's baby, and we know from secret squirrel soap sites, that Freddie will be sleeping on the Nightingales' sofa, it doesn't look like Frindsey will be back together any time soon. Fred had best have eyes in the back of his head, as of course, when Linds goes to meet him, she brings along her trusty killer kit, to syringe him once more! Luckily for Freddie, his brothers walk in just at the right time, so he's safe from Hollyoaks heaven. For now...
Ellie Nightingale had also better watch out, as her feelings for Freddie also grow, and the pair end up getting it together.
I'd bet that Lindsey will hate Freddie moving on without her, even though she sees Joe as her saviour. She's obviously a 'cake and eat it' kinda gal.
The second way the conversation could turn is...
'Guess what, you didn't manage to really kill me, you psychotic crazy lady!'
I doubt it'll be this one. If only for story progression. I can't help but wonder though, if Freddie does know deep down that Lindsey is the killer.
He loves her, so is he protecting her, even though she was after his blood? And if he's not keeping schtum because of his feelings, has he got an ulterior motive, of revenge?
We know that Fred loves to dice with danger, so either way, it could work.
We know that Fred loves to dice with danger, so either way, it could work.
We also know that Lindsey will be unmasked to her fellow villagers this year, and if Freddie isn't the one to prove her guilt, maybe it will come from little Charlie, who saw her kill Dr S'avage?
Failing that, there's also dastardly old Silas, who's returned to crack the Gloved Hand case himself.
And like the old saying goes... It takes one to know one, if you know what I mean...

Oh Hollyoaks, you've gone devilishly dark...
The reason Hollyoaks always has its praises sung by viewers is the way it doesn't do things by halves. I've said it before and I've said it again - the boundaries are always pushed by the soap.
And last night's first look over on E4 did that once again, bringing us into the New Year with a bang.
My favourite part was how the writers had me, along with many others it seems, feeling sorry for one of the most horrid men in soap.
When Patrick Blake's Motor Neurone Disease storyline was announce, I thought it was a clever way to take a character who had done so many unforgivable things, and put him into a position where you would easily have empathy for him.
Of course, over the last few months, and with Maxine back in his life, we saw Patrick's dark side once more. He's been setting Maxine up, to frame her for his murder, after begging her to help him die when he was ready. Patrick thought that Maxine was with him again in pity and believed that she truly wanted to be back with Darren Osborne. But at the eleventh hour, after Maxine refused to go through with the plan, Patrick realised that she did love him, and wanted to stay alive for his family's sake, as long as possible.
There were holes forming in Patrick's previous plan of framing Maxine, I thought. Especially as his daughter, Sienna, knew of his pleas about wanting help to die, and in turn Sienna had told her Bobby boyfriend, Ben.
But that didn't matter now, as Patrick had changed his mind, and with Sienna about to rush off to tell Maxine the good news, she was quickly stopped for a moment, when Patrick confessed to his video recording, which had been sent to Ben at the Police station, confessing all about Nico killing Carly.
Another redemption here from Patrick, who was genuinely concerned for his daughter's welfare at the hands of his murderous granddaughter.
![]() |
| The Blake's... Hollyoaks' very own family of doom... |
Knowing all about Patrick's previous plan to frame Maxine, Nico approached her granddad, telling him that they had a plan, and the police would think Maxine had done it... what with all the evidence he'd left behind.
And so poor Patrick was killed at the hands of his teenage granddaughter, with Maxine coming home (ecstatic at the messages left, that he'd changed his mind and wanted to live), and finding his body.
As Max screamed out, it was no one other than Darren who heard her...
I can't see this ending well for Maxine...or Darren.
If Maxine realises what Patrick had planned, what will she do to keep herself out of prison? And what's next for Nico?
We used to think that Sienna was bad, but her daughter's more than a chip off the old block, that's for sure.
Nico nearly lost it over her involvement in Carly's death, but this time she knew what she was doing, so I imagine she will act like the cold-hearted killer she's turned in to.
No wrong-doings stay hidden in soap for long, as even Lindsey's reign as the gloved-hand killer is set to be exposed this year. But will Nico strike again before her secret's out?

HOLLYOAKS: The Best of the McQueens'
This week over on Hollyoaks, evil Pete Buchanan has finally been revealed for what he is, and it's been an emotive and hard-hitting beginning of the end to the story.
The McQueen family have always been a favourite to many viewers, including me, for their funny, ditzy way and outrageous names! But there have also been times when they've shown grit and heartbreak, and this week for me outshone then rest, because they were united in a situation that affected them all in one way or another.
When the newest of the McQueen girls (Porsche, Celine and Cleo) were introduced I wondered whether they work, but they soon slotted in - and I think the enormity of Porsche and Lockie's train crash (in more ways than one!) wedding really helped to cement their arrival.
Then came Zoe Lucker, who always plays a blinder, arriving as the girls mum Reenie. And Pete soon followed...
As the abuse of Cleo began to get darker, it was made clear by Hollyoaks bosses that Pete would get the justice he deserved.
And this week, after weeks of Pete manipulating Cleo and beginning to groom newcomer Jade Albright, Cleo's ex, and now good friend, Harry Thompson revealed all on Reenie and Pete's wedding day, after seeing an exchange between Pete and an upset Cleo.
The two episodes which follow are gripping, I think. We have Reenie, who began by throwing anger at her daughters, which was maybe denial that they had gone through the same abuse which she did at the hands of Nana's husband when she was a child. Zoe Lucker's performance so far has been amazing, along with Twinnie-Lee Moore, who plays Porsche. The scene of the pair being interviewed by police came across so emotive, it was difficult to distinguish between real and soap life.
Cleo's now still in denial, and that has also come across as frustrating viewing, which I hope is the point the writers are trying to make. You want to give Cleo a good shake, and hope that the penny finally drops that Pete has groomed and abused her. Even after seeing him deny their 'relationship', the teen still thinks that he's the good guy. And that's the fact, I think, Hollyoaks are trying to make here - that this kind of abuse is also a form of brainwashing.
Celine's experience with Pete, on the other hand, is very different to that of her sisters'. Having collapsed after injecting herself with medication to make her lose weight, Celine has been in hospital since the reveal.
You can already see the survivors' guilt creeping in on her - and I think this is another great way of showing another important layer of how sexual abuse can affect family members who weren't physically assaulted themselves.
Pete always told Celine that her puppy fat was 'cute' or beat her down psychologically about her insecurities. Until now, Celine thought that Pete was being kind and willing her on, to make her feel okay about being bigger than her sisters. It's Myra who makes her understand that this was still abuse, albeit in another form.
As I mentioned before, Pete will be bought to justice in the correct way, and will face trial in the new year.
After trying to go abroad with a runaway Jade, who finally escaped his clutches after her sister Sonia (aka Lisa Loveday) told her that the police were after him, Pete was last seen laying unconscious after being hit by Darren's cab, in a revenge hit and run. Whether it was Darren who did it, or not, it's clear that Pete will survive to answer his crimes.
It really has been the best of the McQueens' this week, and I think this storyline deserves all the credit possible for highlighting such an important topic in such a way.
In closing scenes the other night, John Paul and Theresa spoke to their young children, promoting the NSPCC's 'Talk Pants' message.
It's an important one, so I'll leave you with it:

HOLLYOAKS: And the Gloved-Hand Killer is...
Yes, after all these months, we finally know who the Gloved-Hand Killer is. And it's not Bobby Beale this time!
Shocked? Maybe... But this week has pointed more and more in Lindsey's, er, favour...
The cast revealed that they were shocked when they discovered the GHK's identity a few weeks ago, and back then I can see why. Lindsey was SO not in the frame!
But from Monday's First Look episode it was a little more obvious that either Lindsey or her (maybe not so crazy, anymore) sister Kim were the two main players in the GHK game.
Lindsey suddenly had the edge for me, as I felt that Kim was just too obvious from a while ago.
Lindsey suddenly had the edge for me, as I felt that Kim was just too obvious from a while ago.
This week's 20th Anniversary episodes have been great, and I've really enjoyed them. Monday's may well have been my favourite, as for a half-hour slot it was so fast-paced and lots of twists were slotted in, at just the right stead.
Tony finding out about his son, Harry's affair with Ste, revealed brilliantly by John-Paul, was just the 'side story' needed in the middle of the biggest 'Who Is It' that Chester has ever seen.
I have to say that I found gun-wielding Trevor chasing the Roscoe twins through the village a little bit comical, but it did lead to the amazing water stunts the following day, so all can be forgiven!
I have to say that I found gun-wielding Trevor chasing the Roscoe twins through the village a little bit comical, but it did lead to the amazing water stunts the following day, so all can be forgiven!
The GHK also killed horrible Ashley Davidson during Monday's ep, and then on Tuesday, Dr S'Avage met his maker, just as he had witnessed Lindsey's killing spree on camera. She played a blinder at sobbing to Dirk, while handing over S'Avage's belongings, and I almost took back my belief that she was the culprit.
Can I also say how great Steph Waring has been, portraying Cindy. It was the perfect light relief, with Dirk and Holly thinking that Cindy's bi-polar was the cause of her outlandish serial killer claims.
Then there was the water-rapid scenes, with Jason, Robbie and Freddie, which were so well filmed. I held my breath as the boys battled to survive, and felt almost claustrophobic while the underwater action played out on screen.
After their survival, and with Jason discharged, Robbie up and dressed, it was clear that Freddie would be the third and final victim of Lindsey's 20th Anniversary Week murdering spree. I'm sad that Freddie is no-more, as he was one of my favourite Roscoe's. And to be killed by the woman he's always loved, was heartbreaking.

| The face of the Hollyoaks Gloved-Hand Killer |
But where did Lindsey's hunger for murder come from?
The Hollyoaks top boss has said that the story team knew from day one who the GHK would be, and it hasn't changed throughout the storyline.
To be honest, I think Lindsey being the killer is probably the most exciting outcome - as the story has been promised to continue in a new direction. I also hope that we see from Lindsey's point of view why it all began.
She killed Rick first. And yes, he was a pain in the Roscoe's lives, but to end his life while doing her job isn't the Lindsey Hollyoaks first introduced. Or was it?
Will was next and then S'Avage's ex-wife, Mariam. The GHK seemed to be killing people who weren't nice people, which could have made sense if un-hinged Kim, or hard-done by Tegan had been the perpetrator. The attempted-murder on Diane, which was next, could also have been obvious should Tegan have been the murderer...
By the time we got to Phoebe McQueen, maybe Linds had just got the taste for killing. But Phoebe was her best friend, Mercedes', adopted family member and Robbie's new fiancee... Although, having been accidentally shot by Joe, maybe Lindsey was looking out for her exes well-bring, and by silencing Phoebe, no trouble could come knocking on a Roscoe's door, even if it meant that Lindsey's brother-in-law would be heartbroken for a while?
Dylan Jenkins was possibly a victim due to Trevor's unwelcome presence in the Roscoe's lives?
Monday's episode which saw Ashley Davidson killed outright was the strangest of all. But again, Jason's girlfriend, and Robbie's love-interest, Holly, had been held captive by her. Meaning that Ashley had upset not one, but two, Roscoe boys. If Lindsey knew this, maybe she saw it reason enough to end the life of the blond-haired gangster.
By the looks of it, every victim after Mariam had some sort of link to causing heart-ache for the Roscoe's.
But now, Lindsey has caused them the biggest heart-ache of all by killing Freddie. One of their own. One of HER own.
It was an interesting scene. Lindsey looked taken over by anger; she had a crazed look in her eyes, as though he were a poison in her life, and she needed rid of him. Freddie was like a drug to her ever since their affair started, and all through their relationship, it was obvious that they were both addicted to each other.
Technically, if only Mercedes had managed to tell Lindsey that she and Freddie were only leaving together as friends, before her change of heart to run back to Joe, then maybe Lindsey would have understood better and possibly spared him?
Just as interesting was Kim's cover-up for Lindsey by swapping Ashley Davidson's body, taking it to be cremated, before the police could test it, following Cindy's claims.
'If we let someone slip once. Just once. Surely that's okay?' Kim asked a confused, but still big-haired, Grace.
'I saw her mistake... I covered up her little secret..' Kim continued before rushing off.
So did Kim see Lindsey medicate Ashley, and think that it was one blip, an accidental overdose of meds? Scared for her sister's career, she covered up the death, so to not get Lindsey into trouble...
Or did Kim realise that her sister killed Ashley purposefully? And because she thought it was a moment of madness, covered for her?
Whichever way, it seems that Kim will soon realise that Lindsey has killed Freddie, too. But will she be taken in by her, and believe that Ashley and Freddie are the only victims?
Or will Kim wonder if Lindsey's aggressive streak as a child, in which an incident left their sister permanently brain damaged, has always been with her...
But will Kim, who can also be a little (a-hem!) crazy - did I mention Kim's been crazy? - end up working alongside her killer sister?
But will Kim, who can also be a little (a-hem!) crazy - did I mention Kim's been crazy? - end up working alongside her killer sister?
Either way, calculating Lindsey is suddenly making Kim look like Mother Teresa!
As I said before, I hope the story team and writers will delve into how and why Lindsey became the GHK. It'll be an interesting way to go...
I also wonder whether Freddie will be her final victim, or if anyone else will succumb to her blue-covered hand?

HOLLYOAKS: Closing in on the Gloved Hand...
In six days time, Hollyoaks' big 20th Anniversary week begins, and it kicks off with a bang, as the Gloved Hand killer wastes no time in killing again in Monday's episode. But throughout the week, the murdering medic will kill not once, but twice more...
After the death in Monday's ep, the Gloved Hand gets lazy and doesn't cover their tracks, which leads Dr S'avage to realise who the culprit is.
He and Cindy have been trying to trace the killer for the last few weeks, but as S'avage walks through the village trying to warn Cindy and Sargent Ben Bradley of his findings, the Gloved Hand isn't far behind him, masked as Tony, while Hollyoaks Pride is in full swing,
Will the Gloved Hand kill their boss before he manages to reveal all? And who will the third victim be?
More to the point, my opinion of who the killer is has also changed again.
We've been told that it's either Tegan, Celine, Kim or Lindsey... and Lindsey was always far from my mind. But since the cast have said that the killer reveal was a massive shock to them, who else would cause such a stir than lovely, kind doctor, Lindsey?!
The other three have all acted up, been strange.
Celine with her eating disorder cover up, Tegan seemingly wanting revenge on Diane and Kim, well, just being crazy Kim.
Lindsey is the only one of the four who hasn't been losing her cool, or being put in the limelight. And when Rick - the first victim - was killed, she could have wanted him out of they way, for Jason and Robbie's sakes, to get Joe out of the way so she and Freddie could be happy... But the other victims are all un-motivated for her, so to find out why will be a good insight into where the story is going.
Also, the trailer for the 20th Anniversary had me wondering about Lindsey. You see Sienna close to Freddie, and then a Gloved Hand around Sienna's neck (unless Nico has now taken to wearing medical gloves!) But as Lindsey and Freddie seem to be over this coming week, maybe Lindsey will want Mercedes and her unborn baby out of the way, and Joe back in her life?
Mercedes and Freddie, however, decide to run off together, as friends (Does Mercedes DO friends with boys?!), so Lindsey may not have much to worry about if it is Joe she wants back.
But we know that Freddie, Jason and Robbie end up in watery danger after a run-in with Trevor, fighting for life as they are swept away.
If they're rescued, any of these three could end up in hospital under the watchful Gloved Hand's eye. So will Jason, Robbie or Freddie be the third victim? I can't see Lindsey doing such a thing to any of them... But Kim has always wanted Freddie gone.
That said - the Hollyoaks bosses could be leading us down a merry lane, and shock us all by having someone else completely off radar as the killer.
Who do you think the Gloved Hand could now be?

HOLLYOAKS: All change, please...
There's a new clan in the village and they look set to really take over!
The Nightingale family are about to take over The Dog, leaving them at the heart of Hollyoaks, and possibly leaving current landlords, the Osbournes, in the shade.
Mac Nightingale - the head of the family - has already paid a visit over the last few weeks, and revealed himself as Cindy's secret hubby. After asking for a divorce, Cindy brushed it all under the carpet, so there's bound to be trouble in store there. Mac also has a long history with The Dog, as it transpires that his father used to be landlord himself, and the reason the pub has its name is due to the family's pet, who drowned while saving a little boy from the pond years ago. Well, I never!
Joining Mac will be his young, glamorous fiancee Neeta Kaur, who at 25 is much younger than her husband-to-be. Mac's sons have welcomed Neeta into the family, but his daughter, not so much. She thinks that Neeta is a gold-digger. Could this be true?
Having mentioned Mac's kids, they are Nathan, Alfie and Ellie. Ellie is the eldest, and only two-years younger than her step-mum. She's said to be a spoiled princess who will most definitely rub people up the wrong way.
Nathan is the eldest of the boys and uses his charm to win people round, instead of his fists,,, I can't see him being pals with any of the Roscoe boys! Nathan is engaged to Rachel, who has been fully accepted into the family, with her heart of gold. But don't be fooled, Rachel isn't afraid to speak her mind... She'll fit in well!
Lastly is 14-year-old Alfie, who's said to be easy-going and sensitive. and idolises his big brother. Alfie's also tipped for a teen romance when he joins Hollyoaks High, along with Tom, Peri and Nico. Who will the lucky person be to steal his heart?
While I think a new family is a great idea for Hollyoaks at the moment, it'll surely mean that the lives of our current Oaksers will be turned upside down.
Mac will be left 'devastated' as he realises that Cindy hasn't yet divorced him, but gone on to marry Dirk anyway.
Actor David Easter, who plays Mac, has said:
"Things are going to come out that will be devastating to Mac, because he's also still married to Cindy. That's going to cause problems. He's really in love with Neeta. It's an old-fashioned romance and he's very romantic. That's been his trouble in the past, because he's made the wrong choices with other women.
If any skeletons come out, the Nightingales deal with them as a family. They sit around the kitchen table, discuss it and try not to lose their tempers about it."
If any skeletons come out, the Nightingales deal with them as a family. They sit around the kitchen table, discuss it and try not to lose their tempers about it."
Then there's the Osbournes... There's been no indication that Jack, Frankie and co want to up and leave their beloved home, so what will cause the change? Especially as they've just taken in new foster child, Jade... Where will they all end up?
Are you looking forward to welcoming a new family into the fray?

HOLLYOAKS Will returns...to CORRIE
But not as Will, which would be weird considering he was killed by the Gloved Hand (although stranger soapy things have happened!) - instead actor James Atherton is joining Coronation Street as newcomer Jamie.
Soap crossovers either work a treat, or blow up like the Emmerdale scrapyard! But James' arrival in Weatherfield looks set to cause a rift, indeed.
His character, Jamie, is an old friend of Luke Britton and the ex-boyfriend of Luke's sister, Steph.
With Steph in a relationship with Andy (or Gavin, to begin with...) what will it mean for all involved?
As Will, James caused one of Hollyoaks' biggest storylines, when he turned serial killer, obsessed with evil Silas. For Luke and Steph's sakes, lets hope his new character is less of a problem.
I'm looking forward to his arrival, which is said to occur in just a few week's time.
Corrie have been slammed a little of late, especially with Sarah Harding's appearance as Joni (which I must admit, I agree with the majority - she was awful!)
They've also got Paddy McGuinness making a cameo soon, as Beth, Sinead, Chesney and the gang head to Wales for a camping trip, and of course, Shayne Ward's long awaited arrival as new regular, Aidan Connor, who will be helping the Factory and Carla out of her gambling-related money woes.
But as James is coming in from soap to soap, it should be a great turnover. He was brilliant as Will, so here's thinking he'll be just as great as Jamie...

HOLLYOAKS: Why was Steph sacked?
In the world of soap, it's all about continuity... If an actor decides to leave, or must stop working with short notice, it can cause havoc in the story room.
So, this morning, when it was announced that Hollyoaks' Stephanie Davis had been axed with 'immediate affect', it got people wondering what on earth she had done wrong... Especially as she had recently signed a new one-year contract.
Steph will not be filming anymore scenes as Sinead O'Connor, who has recently had a baby with her best mate Ste Hay.
A Hollyoaks spokesperson has commented: "Stephanie Davis will no longer be filming Hollyoaks. Her contract has been terminated with immediate effect."
And that's all... No more words and no explanation, which has left tongues wagging fast on social media.
But one thing is for certain, for Steph's contract to be terminated straight away, she must have done something which breaches that, whether it's professionally or personally.
With her mum Diane, and, most recently, cousin Scott in the village, what reason will be given for the characters departure, if it's all been so sudden?
Also, what will happen to Ste and Sinead's baby, Hannah?
I guess time will tell, and the rumour mill will most definitely be working overtime...
Any more gossip, any time soon, and I'll let you know!

HOLLYOAKS: It's a triple whammy 20th birthday
![]() |
| Add caption |
As Hollyoaks turns 20 in October, as expected there will be lots of drama, tears and secrets revealed, in a ways only Oaks can do it.
Firstly, the Gloved Hand killer will finally reveal themselves to us. As I've previously said, I think that the culprit could either now be Celine or Kim. I've been edging slightly more to Celine of late.
Why? Well, even though it was Phoebe who was the latest villain - and I was unsure if sweet Celine could kill one of her own - it was her actions afterwards that got me thinking.
Celine was quick to point the finger of blame at Tegan, getting her pal struck off for a while, during investigations. She then had to suddenly work on the morning of Phoebe's funeral and missed the service completely, only turning up to the wake. Could she not face her family's grief, knowing that she had caused?
![]() |
| Is Celine the Gloved Hand Killer? |
Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood commented: "Within the 20th birthday week, the Gloved Hand Killer will reveal themselves to the audience in a truly spine-tingling way. That story will then take off in a direction that I don't believe anyone is going to see coming."
Ooh - what could he mean?!
Before the summer's out, however, the murderous medic will kill once more and as it's not just villains, but innocent people, too, who the Gloved Hand is after - no one's safe...
Also, ready for the 20th celebrations, and keeping in with the tradition of Hollyoaks' Autumn stunt, will be a tragic white water accident, that will claim the lives of two big characters.
Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood also had his say on this storyline, too: "In October we have our 20th birthday week and we're planning an epic autumn to mark this milestone. It was a real challenge to follow crashing that train, but my ambition for Hollyoaks remains as high as ever. We think this year will be even more nailbiting, heartbreaking and dramatic. The birthday week will spiral into a thrilling Indiana Jones-style white water pursuit, marking the end of the journey for two of our biggest characters."
At first thought, I'm wondering whether or not this will live up to last years train smash, as it was so well done, action-fueled and emotive.
Depending on who the characters are involved and the way the story pans out, I hope it has the legs (or flippers!) to be bigger than last year, as to be fair to Hollyoaks, each year since their Autumn big stunts began, they've upped the game constantly.
I'll go out on a whim here and say that I doubt the McQueen's will be involved so heavily, as they took centre stage last year, and IF Celine is the Gloved Hand killer, then that could mean the whole family being involved there, at some point. Just a hunch, but the other almost as big a family as the McQueen's, is the Roscoe clan... Will one of the brothers lose their lives over the Autumn? Eek - I hope not! Which one? I just can't decide who to let go!
Lastly, and maybe not so tied into the October birthday plots, is the new look village, and more prominently, the new city wall...
![]() |
| This will soon be some poor villagers final resting place! |
![]() |
| With the new look Loft and the new wall, we can see the village from a whole new angle... |
A walkway has been added to the set, in the aftermath of the new look (and very pink!) Loft, meaning we get an extra bit of Hollyoaks on our screens.
This wall, however, will soon be a centre point, as another (another!) poor Oaks'er will find themselves buried between the bricks!
While nothing has been released on who the victim will be, or who the character is concealing the body, I'm wondering two theories...
We know that Trevor's son, Dylan, is leaving the soap soon. Trev is going to be mortified and angry when he discovers that Dylan cross-dresses, but will it be enough to kill him? Accidentally, maybe? While I think it might be a bit too far, even for Trevor (who by then will have his new baby with Grace), we do know that he's no stranger to hiding a dead body...
Also, Patrick Blake is also on his way out, as he's suffering with Motor Neurone Disease. Having been given a time scale of two years to live, but knowing that Jeremy Sheffield is said to be leaving the role this year, will someone end Patrick's life before he succumbs to his terminal illness?
Whether it's the body in the wall, the Gloved Hand or even, maybe the water tragedy... I think we'll be saying goodbye to Patrick before Winter arrives.
What do you think?

HOLLYOAKS Gloved Hand gets even more sinister... (btw, it's a possible spoiler!) , as Robbie
Ah poor Phoebe... She was the McQueen who fell into the Gloved Hand Killers, well, hands...
After battling a life threatening operation to treat her brain injury after being shot, accidentally, by Joe Roscoe, everyone thought that Phoebs was on the mend. It all looked perfect in last night's E4 first look, as Robbie rushed to propose. Only he found Phoebe flat-lining, after being given a lethal injection by the murderous medic.
Even more strange, was that Phoebe seemed to recognise her killer, smiling at them, and making a comment about it being 'medicine time'...
After the clues Hollyoaks revealed recently pointing to a McQueen death, I still think the killer could be Celine or Kim. But Celine wouldn't kill family, would she?
The murderer is getting even more sinister now, too, as they began by bumping off those who had done wrong by people, and ruined lives...but Phoebe had done nothing wrong. And in one of the Diary Entry clues suggested that they are beginning to enjoy the thrill of the kill.
Mandip Gill, who played Phoebe, gave her opinion on who she thinks killed her character, and it's not one of MY suspects:
"I really don't know - it changes so much! When I was filming the scenes, it did look like it was Lindsey. There was a moment just before she died where it looked like Phoebe knew her killer. Obviously the person wasn't there when we filmed it, so I was thinking, 'Who could it be? Could it be Celine - someone's who's part of her family?' I really don't have a clue!"
It seems as though no ones safe in Hollyoaks, anymore, especially as it's also been revealed that the killer will strike once more, before Summer is over...

HOLLYOAKS: Double baby drama...
Hollyoaks are going to be dishing up double baby dramas over the coming weeks.
Firstly, Tegan's baby, Rose, will be snatched in a harrowing plot for the Lomax family. Of course, it will also affect Tony Hutchinson and Diane O'Connor, as they are baby Rose's biological parents, after she and baby Dee Dee were switched at birth.
With Tegan and Tony & Diane agreeing to keep the babies they bought home with them, emotions have still been running high since the reveal, and Diane will be number one suspect when Rose vanishes, just after Tegan decides to leave the village with her daughter.
It's also been said that members of Tegan and Rose's own family will also be questioned.
![]() |
| Will Tegan find Rose? |
Who takes Rose?
I'd imagine it won't be Diane, or Tony. Too obvious? It's also unclear how long Rose will be missing, or whether they youngster is in any danger.
I also wonder if this story will bring Tegan and Ziggy close again, after failing to commit to each other before he married Tegan's sister, Leela.
![]() |
| Will Angela managed to adopt Peri's child? |
With Peri adamant that she doesn't want to keep the baby, and Tom and his family piling on the pressure to make sure the child doesn't go anywhere, it looks touch and go about what will happen.
I imagine that Peri and Tom do end up keeping the baby at the last minute, leaving Angela and her husband heartbroken.
Maybe Tom is the one who takes baby Rose, who's Peri's cousin, to try and show her what it feels like to lose a child? Tom's a good lad, but for a teen who's been through so much, maybe this is his beginning of tipping over the edge?

HOLLYOAKS: Spoiler Alert... Did you crack the case?!
Have you cracked the five clues and found out the Gloved Hand Killer's next victim?
All day, fans have been on the case, searching newspapers, magazines and websites for the missing diary entries from the murderer.
The clues can be found in today's The Sun, Daily Star, Heat magazine, Digital Spy and the last one was revealed on the Hollyoaks Facebook page, at 4.30pm today.
Here are the entries, with the clues:
![]() |
| CLUE 1 - EVERGREEN |
![]() |
| CLUE 2 - UNICORN |
![]() |
| CLUE 3 - NURSE |
![]() |
| CLUE 4 - EVIL |
![]() |
| CLUE 5 - MC and Q! |
I had to Google who in Romeo and Juliet said 'Oh Lamentable Day' (it was the nurse) but the others came to me - apart from the Katniss one, which a friend helped with!
So, if we take the first letter from each of the first four clues and juggle them around, we find it spells U.E.E.N.
And the last clue's missing letters are MC and Q.
MCQUEEN.
The killers next victim is a McQueen?!
I also had a look further into the diary entries, and feel it's written by a young female, so that rids Dr S'avage from the suspect list. Also Lindsey, and possibly Tegan, as the diary entries are too eloquently written to come from those characters (no offence, girls!)
The writing, when you say it in your head sound like the language both Kim and Celine would use. It's airy, fairy. Don't you think?
And the clue about the 'Nurse' pointed me towards it being a nurse. Possibly one into magic and mystery. Celine? Or someone who loves Shakespeare? Kim?
With the next victim looking likely to be a McQueen. it puts Nana in the unfortunate position. as she ends up in hospital after a house fire this week. So surely the killer can't be Celine, as she wouldn't kill family. Would she?!
Having said about Nana... Is that too, too obvious? The victims have all (well, maybe apart from Mariam, the other night) been a shock, so Oaks bosses could have a shock up their sleeves, just like when poor Lynsey Nolan was killed by Silas.
Porsche also ends up in a hospital bed after the fire, or maybe, with Mercedes being back and a gun shot going off at Lindsey and Freddie's upcoming nuptials, the victim could have a few more weeks left before the Gloved Hand nasty strikes again.
What are you making of the clues found today?

HOLLYOAKS - Could YOU be a detective?
Next week in Hollyoaks, the Gloved Hand Killer will strike again.
Who dies? Who knows...
But, the lovely Oaks bosses are giving their viewers the chance to crack the case before it goes on air, in a real life hunt for the murderer.
This is one of the things I like best about Hollyoaks, they really get the interaction with viewers going. Think back to when we became jury, and decided whether or not Gilly Roach was guilty or not guilty of the rape of Jacqui McQueen...
This will be a multi-platform event, aptly named 'GlovedHandDiary and will launch directly after the killer has made his or her latest move. This time, however, police will be called to Dee Valley hospital, and they come across a diary, while collecting the poor victim's possessions. A diary belonging to the murderer.
Vital pages will fall out of the diary and then into the real world. And that's where we come in, tracking down the pages in various newspapers, magazines and online outlets. Sounds a massive campaign, doesn't it!
The clues we find along the way will give us an insight into the murderer's mind and if you manage to trace all of the clues, and solve them, you'll find that they spell out a name. This name is the killer's FOURTH victim.
Ooh - exciting!
A Hollyoaks spokespersonhas said: "Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that there are few loose pages in the Gloved Hand Diary, which fall out on their way to the police station. These pages hold clues to the identity of the owner and also to whom they will target next.
The fans that solve the mystery will be ahead of not just the police but the whole village, who are not yet aware that there is a killer in their midst. The police will discover who owns the diary later that week, but viewers will have to tune in to find out what happens next..."
The Gloved Hand Killer has already murdered Rick Spence, Will Savage and attempted to murder Diane O'Connor.
While the main suspects are Lindsey Butterfield, Kim Butterfield, Tegan Lomax, Dr S'avage and Celine McQueen, it doesn't mean that it definitely is one of them who constantly has murder on their mind.
Who do I point the finger at thus far? Well, I keep changing my mind each time someone new is targeted... And each of Kim, Lindsey and Dr S'avage have previous, and somewhat untrustworthy, twisted minds.
Happy hunting!!

HOLLYOAKS - New trailer reveals shockers!
Hollyoaks has released its Spring 2015 trailer, to reveal what's in store for the Oaks families over the next few weeks...
The Gloved-Hand Killer brings more danger to the village hospital, Mercedes returns and someone gets...SHOT!
Grace and Freddie's feud, which has seen the 'Barbie gangster' try to frame poor Fred for killing the very much alive Mercedes, comes to a head, on his wedding day to Lindsey. Someone ends up on the wrong end of a bullet. But who?
There's also more wedding drama as Ziggy and Leela prepare to wed. We all know that Ziggy hearts Tegan really, and he shares a snog with his brides sister. Will those Roscoe boys ever end up out of trouble?
Sinead will soon find out about John Paul's secret kiss with his student Harry, which ultimately leads to a furious reaction from his hubby Ste when he learns the truth.
But JP didn't even know that Harry was a student of his at the time, and Ste has put JP through the mill just a bit lately, so surely he forgives him? But I know that Sinead is secretly falling in love with Ste, and wants them to be a family when their baby daughter is born. Uh-oh!
There's also a surprising direction for Dylan as he starts cross-dressing (whatever will Trevor say!)
Sinead's troublemaking cousin Scott also soon shows up and Patrick continues to come to terms with his fatal illness.
What storyline are you most looking forward to?
HOLLYOAKS - Brave move for Patrick's exit
Hollyoaks have never shied away from hard-hitting, emotive plots, and Patrick Blake has been the centre of many since he first arrived in the village.
He's been the monster father and the monster partner, but Patrick is hiding a secret illness which he will soon succumb to - motor neurone disease.
Next month, Patrick will confide in Theresa McQueen that he has the same disease which killed his father. We've seen him threaten Dr S'avage, after collapsing, when he wanted to look in to Patrick's family history,
Patrick has also had what looks like leg cramps, which has been picked up on by both Maxine and his granddaughter, Nico.
To avoid threatening his chances of securing custody of he and Maxine's baby daughter Minnie, Patrick wants to keep his suspicions quiet, as he comes to terms with recognising the signs of the disease. However, he will find it increasingly difficult to keep his secret as the storyline progresses.
I think this will be an interesting and emotional story to watch, as no soap, from what I remember has tackled motor neurone disease, which is a fatal and rapidly progressive disorder that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement and can leave people locked in a failing body - unable to move, talk, and eventually, breathe.
Seeing a character like Patrick, who's constantly in need of being in control, come face to face with it will bring a range of different emotions.
Patrick is dislike by many, because of his treatment of his family and Maxine. He's done some unforgivable things, but I can see us viewers also feeling for him as he tries to fight his last battle.
We don't know yet how Patrick does eventually die, and Oaks bosses aren't saying when he'll depart.
"I'm honoured to have been involved in some of the show's biggest storylines over the last couple of years. I hope Patrick's upcoming journey will captivate people's hearts and minds.
For Patrick the idea of not being in control, of relinquishing his power is unthinkable and it will be interesting to see how the man who needs to control everything and everyone in his life copes with something that he cannot influence. Working with the Motor Neurone Disease Association has proved invaluable for researching this role."

Patrick's death will also lead to questions on how his loved - or not so loved - ones will cope, especially his daughter, Sienna, who is about to be released from being sectioned for a second time. We know that poor Si Si has her issues because of her upbringing with Patrick, and his control of her.
Will this tip her over the edge further?
And how will Patrick eventually meet his maker?

HOLLYOAKS - The Gloved Hand killer strikes a third
It's gonna be a bad, bad week (well, worse than usual!) for Diane O'Connor in Oaks this week, as not only is she shoved out of a window by Porsche McQueen, but the gloved hand killer also injects her with a lethal dose, while she recovers in hospital.
Diane's nightmare week begins when Porsche sees her hubby, Lockie's, lost watch on Diane's bedroom floor while she decorates.
Porsche is supposed to be decorating Sinead's room, but gets the two mixed up. At first she accuses Sinead of being the 'other woman' until Diane owns up.
It's during the scuffle that follows, when disaster strikes, and Diane slips on a roll of wallpaper and goes tumbling through the open window.
Luckily, she survives her fall, but it's later on in hospital that the real drama starts...
When the hospital find out the reason behind Diane and Porsche's scuffle, tongues start to wag. Of course we have been told that the suspects in the gloved hand case are Lindsey Butterfield, her sister Kim, Celine McQueen, Doctor S'avage and Tegan Lomax - who all work at the hosptal.
Doctor S'avage begins to berate Diane to Kim Butterfield, with Lindsey seen in the background, for sleeping with another woman's man - but would he really try to kill over something which is really not his business?
Kim and Lindsey are also two people who aren't directly involved in Diane, so unless they are just psychopaths (who knows in Hollyoaks!) would they either want to harm Di?
Celine, who while off duty, goes to see Diane and sticks up for her sister, Porsche. So could she, as a suspect, be the one who's bumping off people who she believes deserves to die?
But it's Tegan who in my mind ends up in the frame most here.
Doctor S'avage asks her to administer some pain killers to Diane, even though unqualified (that Doctor S'avage is a right un-pro!!). It's while Tegan is doing this that Diane reveals a bombshell to her, which could result in Tegan wanting rid of her...
You might be able to guess what the shock is - but I'm not a liberty to say!
It's while Diane's sleeping that the mystery hand returns and administers her the potentially lethal shot.
Will Diane die?
Watch all the drama unfold this week on C4 at 6.30pm and the first look followings at 7pm on E4...

HOLLYOAKS - Lindsey returns, but is all as it seems?
After going on the run with Freddie Roscoe and even abandoning her baby in the process - Lindsey Butterfield returns to Hollyoaks this week, protesting to her ex and Freddie's brother, Joe, that she is frightened of Freddie and believes he did kill Mercedes McQueen.
We all know that Mercy has been plotting with Grace Black to get Freddie framed, and she's in fact alive and well in France. Joe, too, is now in on the plan - but clever Lindsey is one step ahead of them all at the moment.
After returning to the village, it soon becomes clear that Lindsey and Freddie have concocted a plan to catch Grace out, thinking she's the one who murdered Mercy.
Grace is soon freaked out, thinking that Mercedes is playing games with her, when she receives haunting reminders of her partner in crime.
Joe then tries to warn Grace about some evidence that Lindsey has found, but Lindsey gets to DS Thorpe first and heads to The Loft in order to confront Grace with their findings.
Later, Lindsey tries to convince Theresa and Celine of Grace's guilt but will they believe her?
Jen Metcalfe is soon to return to Hollyoaks as Mercedes, after a bit of a break, so the truth will no doubt unravel. But how?
If Lindsey finds out that Mercy is alive, surely she'll have enough evidence to clear Freddie's name. But wouldn't Grace and Mercy be charged and sent to prison for faking her death? And that will also implicate Joe - so would Lindsey send her baby's father to prison?

HOLLYOAKS - Mercedes is alive, and Joe's deceitful lies...
It feels like an age since I've had a Hollyoaks love-in!
EastEnders had my full attention last week (Sorry Oaks, and other soaps!) but a lot has happened over in Chester this last week, too.
Mercedes is alive and well - living in France! I'm not surprised to be honest.
She's been working with Grace, who really did stab her (again, not surprised, if my memory serves me right, Mercy stabbed herself once before, to get Mitzeee locked up, didn't she?)
Anyhow, Grace and Mercedes have got Joe Roscoe involved in framing his brother, Freddie, who's ended up running away with Joe's ex-wife Lindsey and their baby son, Joe Junior.
Keep your eye on this story, as there's a surprising little twist in the tale, that left me shell-shocked at Lindsey's actions.
And with Mercy set to make a come-back in March/April, it looks like her lies, along with Grace and Joe's, are to be exposed and Freddie will be revealed as the innocent man that he (kind of!) is.
Hollyoaks bosses said that Jen Metcalfe was always only taking a break from the show, and the plan was always for her to return. I can't wait to see the fall-out.
Especially for Grace, who's soon to have her own baby. But will surrogate, Esther, really hand over the baby, if she realises that Grace is still living in the dodgy world she promised to leave behind? And what will Trevor say?
Peri Lomax's pregnancy storyline begins this week, too... And her mum, Leela finds out about it on the teen's 15th birthday.
From what I gather, Tom, the baby's dad, wants to keep the baby, but Peri is still in shell-shock mode.
Also - keep an eye on Tegan when this story begins. There's a scene where she will be taking gloves out of her handbag. Woolly ones, but gloves, all the same. Gloves - gloved-hand killer - Tegan works at the hosptial.
Coincidence, or a red-herring? Hmm...

HOLLYOAKS - Zoe Lucker cast as new McQueen
The McQueen family are the biggest clan of Hollyoaks village, and they're expanding all the more, as Zoe Lucker, who's also been part of EastEnders, has joined the soap as the newest McQueen member.
Reenie McQueen is Porsche, Celine and Cleo's mum, and daughter of Nana.
Having already filmed her first scenes, Zoe will make her Hollyoaks debut in April - and I love her new 'Reenie' look. It's a million miles away from the blonde bombshell look of Zoe's previous roles in 'Enders, Waterloo Road and Footballers Wives.
Zoe is also thrilled at being cast in Oaks, saying:
"I am really excited to be joining Hollyoaks - especially as a McQueen! Reenie is a very complex character and will, in time, have a very interesting story to tell."
Reenie is currently in prison, and we first see her when Porsche goes to pay her a visit, before eventually joining the rest of the family in the village.
The newset McQueen's - Porsche, Celine - who's a possible suspect in the Gloved-Hand mystery - and Cleo have been a hit.
After the exits of Carmel and Mercedes, I wasn't sure how the new girls would go down, but they've proved that the McQueen's can regenerate and go on!
Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood previously cast Zoe in EastEnders and he's excited to be working with her again:
"I am delighted to be working again with Zöe. In my mind there was only one person to tell Reenie's important story and thankfully she was as intrigued by the character as we are. We are thrilled that Zöe will be becoming a McQueen and know that she will bring Reenie to life for our audience."
I wonder what other trouble Reenie could bring!
