HOLLYOAKS: And the Gloved-Hand Killer is...

It's Lindsey!

Yes, after all these months, we finally know who the Gloved-Hand Killer is. And it's not Bobby Beale this time!

Shocked? Maybe... But this week has pointed more and more in Lindsey's, er, favour...
The cast revealed that they were shocked when they discovered the GHK's identity a few weeks ago, and back then I can see why. Lindsey was SO not in the frame!
But from Monday's First Look episode it was a little more obvious that either Lindsey or her (maybe not so crazy, anymore) sister Kim were the two main players in the GHK game.
Lindsey suddenly had the edge for me, as I felt that Kim was just too obvious from a while ago.

This week's 20th Anniversary episodes have been great, and I've really enjoyed them. Monday's may well have been my favourite, as for a half-hour slot it was so fast-paced and lots of twists were slotted in, at just the right stead.
Tony finding out about his son, Harry's affair with Ste, revealed brilliantly by John-Paul, was just the 'side story' needed in the middle of the biggest 'Who Is It' that Chester has ever seen.
I have to say that I found gun-wielding Trevor chasing the Roscoe twins through the village a little bit comical, but it did lead to the amazing water stunts the following day, so all can be forgiven!
The GHK also killed horrible Ashley Davidson during Monday's ep, and then on Tuesday, Dr S'Avage met his maker, just as he had witnessed Lindsey's killing spree on camera. She played a blinder at sobbing to Dirk, while handing over S'Avage's belongings, and I almost took back my belief that she was the culprit.

Can I also say how great Steph Waring has been, portraying Cindy. It was the perfect light relief, with Dirk and Holly thinking that Cindy's bi-polar was the cause of her outlandish serial killer claims.

Then there was the water-rapid scenes, with Jason, Robbie and Freddie, which were so well filmed. I held my breath as the boys battled to survive, and felt almost claustrophobic while the underwater action played out on screen.
After their survival, and with Jason discharged, Robbie up and dressed, it was clear that Freddie would be the third and final victim of Lindsey's 20th Anniversary Week murdering spree. I'm sad that Freddie is no-more, as he was one of my favourite Roscoe's. And to be killed by the woman he's always loved, was heartbreaking.

The face of the Hollyoaks Gloved-Hand Killer

The Hollyoaks top boss has said that the story team knew from day one who the GHK would be, and it hasn't changed throughout the storyline.
To be honest, I think Lindsey being the killer is probably the most exciting outcome - as the story has been promised to continue in a new direction. I also hope that we see from Lindsey's point of view why it all began.
She killed Rick first. And yes, he was a pain in the Roscoe's lives, but to end his life while doing her job isn't the Lindsey Hollyoaks first introduced. Or was it?
Will was next and then S'Avage's ex-wife, Mariam. The GHK seemed to be killing people who weren't nice people, which could have made sense if un-hinged Kim, or hard-done by Tegan had been the perpetrator. The attempted-murder on Diane, which was next, could also have been obvious should Tegan have been the murderer...

By the time we got to Phoebe McQueen, maybe Linds had just got the taste for killing. But Phoebe was her best friend, Mercedes', adopted family member and Robbie's new fiancee... Although, having been accidentally shot by Joe, maybe Lindsey was looking out for her exes well-bring, and by silencing Phoebe, no trouble could come knocking on a Roscoe's door, even if it meant that Lindsey's brother-in-law would be heartbroken for a while?
Dylan Jenkins was possibly a victim due to Trevor's unwelcome presence in the Roscoe's lives?
Monday's episode which saw Ashley Davidson killed outright was the strangest of all. But again, Jason's girlfriend, and Robbie's love-interest, Holly, had been held captive by her. Meaning that Ashley had upset not one, but two, Roscoe boys. If Lindsey knew this, maybe she saw it reason enough to end the life of the blond-haired gangster.

By the looks of it, every victim after Mariam had some sort of link to causing heart-ache for the Roscoe's.

But now, Lindsey has caused them the biggest heart-ache of all by killing Freddie. One of their own. One of HER own.
It was an interesting scene. Lindsey looked taken over by anger; she had a crazed look in her eyes, as though he were a poison in her life, and she needed rid of him. Freddie was like a drug to her ever since their affair started, and all through their relationship, it was obvious that they were both addicted to each other.
Technically, if only Mercedes had managed to tell Lindsey that she and Freddie were only leaving together as friends, before her change of heart to run back to Joe, then maybe Lindsey would have understood better and possibly spared him?

Just as interesting was Kim's cover-up for Lindsey by swapping Ashley Davidson's body, taking it to be cremated, before the police could test it, following Cindy's claims.

'If we let someone slip once. Just once. Surely that's okay?' Kim asked a confused, but still big-haired, Grace.
'I saw her mistake... I covered up her little secret..' Kim continued before rushing off.

So did Kim see Lindsey medicate Ashley, and think that it was one blip, an accidental overdose of meds? Scared for her sister's career, she covered up the death, so to not get Lindsey into trouble...
Or did Kim realise that her sister killed Ashley purposefully? And because she thought it was a moment of madness, covered for her?

Whichever way, it seems that Kim will soon realise that Lindsey has killed Freddie, too. But will she be taken in by her, and believe that Ashley and Freddie are the only victims?
Or will Kim wonder if Lindsey's aggressive streak as a child, in which an incident left their sister permanently brain damaged, has always been with her...
But will Kim, who can also be a little (a-hem!) crazy - did I mention Kim's been crazy? - end up working alongside her killer sister?

Either way, calculating Lindsey is suddenly making Kim look like Mother Teresa!

As I said before, I hope the story team and writers will delve into how and why Lindsey became the GHK. It'll be an interesting way to go...

I also wonder whether Freddie will be her final victim, or if anyone else will succumb to her blue-covered hand?

HOLLYOAKS: Closing in on the Gloved Hand...

In six days time, Hollyoaks' big 20th Anniversary week begins, and it kicks off with a bang, as the Gloved Hand killer wastes no time in killing again in Monday's episode. But throughout the week, the murdering medic will kill not once, but twice more...

After the death in Monday's ep, the Gloved Hand gets lazy and doesn't cover their tracks, which leads Dr S'avage to realise who the culprit is.
He and Cindy have been trying to trace the killer for the last few weeks, but as S'avage walks through the village trying to warn Cindy and Sargent Ben Bradley of his findings, the Gloved Hand isn't far behind him, masked as Tony, while Hollyoaks Pride is in full swing,

Will the Gloved Hand kill their boss before he manages to reveal all? And who will the third victim be?

More to the point, my opinion of who the killer is has also changed again.
We've been told that it's either Tegan, Celine, Kim or Lindsey... and Lindsey was always far from my mind. But since the cast have said that the killer reveal was a massive shock to them, who else would cause such a stir than lovely, kind doctor, Lindsey?!
The other three have all acted up, been strange.
Celine with her eating disorder cover up, Tegan seemingly wanting revenge on Diane and Kim, well,  just being crazy Kim.
Lindsey is the only one of the four who hasn't been losing her cool, or being put in the limelight. And when Rick - the first victim - was killed, she could have wanted him out of they way, for Jason and Robbie's sakes, to get Joe out of the way so she and Freddie could be happy... But the other victims are all un-motivated for her, so to find out why will be a good insight into where the story is going.
Also, the trailer for the 20th Anniversary had me wondering about Lindsey. You see Sienna close to Freddie, and then a Gloved Hand around Sienna's neck (unless Nico has now taken to wearing medical gloves!) But as Lindsey and Freddie seem to be over this coming week, maybe Lindsey will want Mercedes and her unborn baby out of the way, and Joe back in her life?

Mercedes and Freddie, however, decide to run off together, as friends (Does Mercedes DO friends with boys?!), so Lindsey may not have much to worry about if it is Joe she wants back.
But we know that Freddie, Jason and Robbie end up in watery danger after a run-in with Trevor, fighting for life as they are swept away.
If they're rescued, any of these three could end up in hospital under the watchful Gloved Hand's eye. So will Jason, Robbie or Freddie be the third victim? I can't see Lindsey doing such a thing to any of them... But Kim has always wanted Freddie gone.

That said - the Hollyoaks bosses could be leading us down a merry lane, and shock us all by having someone else completely off radar as the killer.

Who do you think the Gloved Hand could now be?

HOLLYOAKS: It's a triple whammy 20th birthday

Add caption

As Hollyoaks turns 20 in October, as expected there will be lots of drama, tears and secrets revealed, in a ways only Oaks can do it.

Firstly, the Gloved Hand killer will finally reveal themselves to us. As I've previously said, I think that the culprit could either now be Celine or Kim. I've been edging slightly more to Celine of late.
Why? Well, even though it was Phoebe who was the latest villain - and I was unsure if sweet Celine could kill one of her own - it was her actions afterwards that got me thinking.
Celine was quick to point the finger of blame at Tegan, getting her pal struck off for a while, during investigations. She then had to suddenly work on the morning of Phoebe's funeral and missed the service completely, only turning up to the wake. Could she not face her family's grief, knowing that she had caused?

Is Celine the Gloved Hand Killer?
Anyhow, in just over three months we will know who the murderer is. But the twisted story has been promised to not stop there.
Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood commented: "Within the 20th birthday week, the Gloved Hand Killer will reveal themselves to the audience in a truly spine-tingling way. That story will then take off in a direction that I don't believe anyone is going to see coming."

Ooh - what could he mean?!

Before the summer's out, however, the murderous medic will kill once more and as it's not just villains, but innocent people, too, who the Gloved Hand is after - no one's safe...

Also, ready for the 20th celebrations, and keeping in with the tradition of Hollyoaks' Autumn stunt, will be a tragic white water accident, that will claim the lives of two big characters.
Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood also had his say on this storyline, too: "In October we have our 20th birthday week and we're planning an epic autumn to mark this milestone. It was a real challenge to follow crashing that train, but my ambition for Hollyoaks remains as high as ever. We think this year will be even more nailbiting, heartbreaking and dramatic.
The birthday week will spiral into a thrilling Indiana Jones-style white water pursuit, marking the end of the journey for two of our biggest characters."

At first thought, I'm wondering whether or not this will live up to last years train smash, as it was so well done, action-fueled and emotive.
Depending on who the characters are involved and the way the story pans out, I hope it has the legs (or flippers!) to be bigger than last year, as to be fair to Hollyoaks, each year since their Autumn big stunts began, they've upped the game constantly.
I'll go out on a whim here and say that I doubt the McQueen's will be involved so heavily, as they took centre stage last year, and IF Celine is the Gloved Hand killer, then that could mean the whole family being involved there, at some point. Just a hunch, but the other almost as big a family as the McQueen's, is the Roscoe clan... Will one of the brothers lose their lives over the Autumn? Eek - I hope not! Which one? I just can't decide who to let go!

Lastly, and maybe not so tied into the October birthday plots, is the new look village, and more prominently, the new city wall...

This will soon be some poor villagers final resting place!

With the new look Loft and the new wall, we can see the village from
a whole new angle...

A walkway has been added to the set, in the aftermath of the new look (and very pink!) Loft, meaning we get an extra bit of Hollyoaks on our screens.
This wall, however, will soon be a centre point, as another (another!) poor Oaks'er will find themselves buried between the bricks!
While nothing has been released on who the victim will be, or who the character is concealing the body, I'm wondering two theories...

We know that Trevor's son, Dylan, is leaving the soap soon. Trev is going to be mortified and angry when he discovers that Dylan cross-dresses, but will it be enough to kill him? Accidentally, maybe? While I think it might be a bit too far, even for Trevor (who by then will have his new baby with Grace), we do know that he's no stranger to hiding a dead body...

Also, Patrick Blake is also on his way out, as he's suffering with Motor Neurone Disease. Having been given a time scale of two years to live, but knowing that Jeremy Sheffield is said to be leaving the role this year, will someone end Patrick's life before he succumbs to his terminal illness?
Whether it's the body in the wall, the Gloved Hand or even, maybe the water tragedy... I think we'll be saying goodbye to Patrick before Winter arrives.

What do you think?

HOLLYOAKS Gloved Hand gets even more sinister... (btw, it's a possible spoiler!) , as Robbie

Ah poor Phoebe... She was the McQueen who fell into the Gloved Hand Killers, well, hands...

After battling a life threatening operation to treat her brain injury after being shot, accidentally, by Joe Roscoe, everyone thought that Phoebs was on the mend. It all looked perfect in last night's E4 first look, as Robbie rushed to propose. Only he found Phoebe flat-lining, after being given a lethal injection by the murderous medic.

Even more strange, was that Phoebe seemed to recognise her killer, smiling at them, and making a comment about it being 'medicine time'...

After the clues Hollyoaks revealed recently pointing to a McQueen death, I still think the killer could be Celine or Kim. But Celine wouldn't kill family, would she?

The murderer is getting even more sinister now, too, as they began by bumping off those who had done wrong by people, and ruined lives...but Phoebe had done nothing wrong. And in one of the Diary Entry clues suggested that they are beginning to enjoy the thrill of the kill.

Mandip Gill, who played Phoebe, gave her opinion on who she thinks killed her character, and it's not one of MY suspects:

"I really don't know - it changes so much! When I was filming the scenes, it did look like it was Lindsey. There was a moment just before she died where it looked like Phoebe knew her killer. Obviously the person wasn't there when we filmed it, so I was thinking, 'Who could it be? Could it be Celine - someone's who's part of her family?' I really don't have a clue!"

It seems as though no ones safe in Hollyoaks, anymore, especially as it's also been revealed that the killer will strike once more, before Summer is over...

HOLLYOAKS: Spoiler Alert... Did you crack the case?!

Have you cracked the five clues and found out the Gloved Hand Killer's next victim?

All day, fans have been on the case, searching newspapers, magazines and websites for the missing diary entries from the murderer.

The clues can be found in today's The Sun, Daily Star, Heat magazine, Digital Spy and the last one was revealed on the Hollyoaks Facebook page, at 4.30pm today.

Here are the entries, with the clues:

CLUE 1 - EVERGREEN

CLUE 2 - UNICORN

CLUE 3 - NURSE

CLUE 4 - EVIL

CLUE 5 - MC and Q!
Did you solve the riddles?

I had to Google who in Romeo and Juliet said 'Oh Lamentable Day' (it was the nurse) but the others came to me - apart from the Katniss one, which a friend helped with!

So, if we take the first letter from each of the first four clues and juggle them around, we find it spells U.E.E.N.
And the last clue's missing letters are MC and Q.

MCQUEEN.

The killers next victim is a McQueen?!

I also had a look further into the diary entries, and feel it's written by a young female, so that rids Dr S'avage from the suspect list. Also Lindsey, and possibly Tegan, as the diary entries are too eloquently written to come from those characters (no offence, girls!)
The writing, when you say it in your head sound like the language both Kim and Celine would use. It's airy, fairy. Don't you think?
And the clue about the 'Nurse' pointed me towards it being a nurse. Possibly one into magic and mystery. Celine? Or someone who loves Shakespeare? Kim?

With the next victim looking likely to be a McQueen. it puts Nana in the unfortunate position. as she ends up in hospital after a house fire this week. So surely the killer can't be Celine, as she wouldn't kill family. Would she?!

Having said about Nana... Is that too, too obvious? The victims have all (well, maybe apart from Mariam, the other night) been a shock, so Oaks bosses could have a shock up their sleeves, just like when poor Lynsey Nolan was killed by Silas.

Porsche also ends up in a hospital bed after the fire, or maybe, with Mercedes being back and a gun shot going off at Lindsey and Freddie's upcoming nuptials, the victim could have a few more weeks left before the Gloved Hand nasty strikes again.

What are you making of the clues found today?

HOLLYOAKS - Could YOU be a detective?

Next week in Hollyoaks, the Gloved Hand Killer will strike again.

Who dies? Who knows...

But, the lovely Oaks bosses are giving their viewers the chance to crack the case before it goes on air, in a real life hunt for the murderer.

This is one of the things I like best about Hollyoaks, they really get the interaction with viewers going. Think back to when we became jury, and decided whether or not Gilly Roach was guilty or not guilty of the rape of Jacqui McQueen...

This will be a multi-platform event, aptly named 'GlovedHandDiary and will launch directly after the killer has made his or her latest move. This time, however, police will be called to Dee Valley hospital, and they come across a diary, while collecting the poor victim's possessions. A diary belonging to the murderer.

Vital pages will fall out of the diary and then into the real world. And that's where we come in, tracking down the pages in various newspapers, magazines and online outlets. Sounds a massive campaign, doesn't it!
The clues we find along the way will give us an insight into the murderer's mind and if you manage to trace all of the clues, and solve them, you'll find that they spell out a name. This name is the killer's FOURTH victim.

Ooh - exciting!

A Hollyoaks spokespersonhas said: "Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that there are few loose pages in the Gloved Hand Diary, which fall out on their way to the police station. These pages hold clues to the identity of the owner and also to whom they will target next.
The fans that solve the mystery will be ahead of not just the police but the whole village, who are not yet aware that there is a killer in their midst. The police will discover who owns the diary later that week, but viewers will have to tune in to find out what happens next..."

The Gloved Hand Killer has already murdered Rick Spence, Will Savage and attempted to murder Diane O'Connor.

While the main suspects are Lindsey Butterfield, Kim Butterfield, Tegan Lomax, Dr S'avage and Celine McQueen, it doesn't mean that it definitely is one of them who constantly has murder on their mind.

Who do I point the finger at thus far? Well, I keep changing my mind each time someone new is targeted... And each of Kim, Lindsey and Dr S'avage have previous, and somewhat untrustworthy, twisted minds.

Details and hints of where to find the missing pages will be released by Hollyoaks on its official website and social media pages when the event takes place on Wednesday, May 13th.

Happy hunting!!

HOLLYOAKS - The Gloved Hand killer strikes a third

It's gonna be a bad, bad week (well, worse than usual!) for Diane O'Connor in Oaks this week, as not only is she shoved out of a window by Porsche McQueen, but the gloved hand killer also injects her with a lethal dose, while she recovers in hospital.

Diane's nightmare week begins when Porsche sees her hubby, Lockie's, lost watch on Diane's bedroom floor while she decorates.
Porsche is supposed to be decorating Sinead's room, but gets the two mixed up. At first she accuses Sinead of being the 'other woman' until Diane owns up.
It's during the scuffle that follows, when disaster strikes, and Diane slips on a roll of wallpaper and goes tumbling through the open window.

Luckily, she survives her fall, but it's later on in hospital that the real drama starts...

When the hospital find out the reason behind Diane and Porsche's scuffle, tongues start to wag. Of course we have been told that the suspects in the gloved hand case are Lindsey Butterfield, her sister Kim, Celine McQueen, Doctor S'avage and Tegan Lomax - who all work at the hosptal.

Doctor S'avage begins to berate Diane to Kim Butterfield, with Lindsey seen in the background, for sleeping with another woman's man - but would he really try to kill over something which is really not his business?

Kim and Lindsey are also two people who aren't directly involved in Diane, so unless they are just psychopaths (who knows in Hollyoaks!) would they either want to harm Di?

Celine, who while off duty, goes to see Diane and sticks up for her sister, Porsche. So could she, as a suspect, be the one who's bumping off people who she believes deserves to die?

But it's Tegan who in my mind ends up in the frame most here.
Doctor S'avage asks her to administer some pain killers to Diane, even though unqualified (that Doctor S'avage is a right un-pro!!). It's while Tegan is doing this that Diane reveals a bombshell to her, which could result in Tegan wanting rid of her...

You might be able to guess what the shock is - but I'm not a liberty to say!

It's while Diane's sleeping that the mystery hand returns and administers her the potentially lethal shot.

Will Diane die?

Watch all the drama unfold this week on C4 at 6.30pm and the first look followings at 7pm on E4...

HOLLYOAKS - Gloved-Hand mystery

Who's the Gloved-Hand killer?
The gloved hand killer of Hollyoaks has struck again.

They love a serial killer in that village, don't they!

With Rick Spencer and now, Will Savage, victims of the murderer, who will be third unlucky?

It also bears the question as to whodunnit.
Dr Savage, Lindsey Butterfield, Kim Butterfield, Tegan Lomax and Celine McQueen are all in the frame, as each were seen throwing away blue gloves just as Will met his maker.

There have been online theories already about why the five suspects may have wanted to bump off both Rick and Will. Here I put my take on each to the test, in order of who I think is the medical murderer:

Dr S'avage:

The most interesting theory I've seen online about Dr S'avage is that he wants to put certain patients in harms way, for the thrill of bringing them back to life. It could be true! 'If I'd been there I could have maybe done something' he said to Dirk after Will's death, But I've felt shifty about the new doc on the block since his arrival. Maybe he is just quirky, but maybe there's a darkness to him, too. He comes from the same family as Will after all...

Kim Butterfield:

When Rick was killed, I thought Kim may have been chief culprit because of the secret between her and Joe. Joe, with his relationship with Lindsey in tatters, threatened to tell Lindsey all (about what, we still don't know, but I've got a hunch that a one-night stand and possible pregnancy which was soon aborted or given up, took place?) So to keep Joe away, thinking he would be done for Rick's murder, Kim administered the lethal shot. As for Will? Well, while there's no direct link for her to want him dead, she was the one who suggested taking the 'selfie' with the serial killer. so she's not always professional. A serial killer with a serial killer selfie? Can't see that trend taking off!

Tegan Lomax:

My cousin said something to me about Tegan when the gloved-hand struck first time. She has the theory that maybe Tegan has gone a bit doo-lally since being re-diagnosed with cancer, and has the mind-set that if she may possibly not live, then why should those who don't really deserve to. So she's playing God.
Rick wasn't the nicest of people, and had done some pretty dodge things. Will killed people for no good reason. Justified enough for Tegan? Who knows... But she's third in my list, purely because she and her family have so many other things going on. With Tegan's illness, her love triangle with Ziggy and sister Leela, Cameron telling Leela that he caused the crash which killed Sam and Danny and Peri's upcoming teenage pregnancy plot, surely they won't add murderer to her list of priorities?!

Celine McQueen:

Celine seems sweet enough on the surface, but she IS a McQueen and they're as tough as they come deep-down. Tough enough to kill..?
I don't think it's Celine, but the small fraction of me that wonders does so because we know so little about her. Maybe if more comes out of the woodwork, I might change my mind.

Lindsey Butterfield:

Lindsey would be one of the obvious ones. She's help cover a murder before - Dr Browning - and is in love with someone who's murdered and covered murders before - Freddie.
This is why I don't think it's her. It would be a case of 'why would she...' Although you might look at it as 'why wouldn't she?' Let me know your thoughts...

Of course, it could be someone else completely, but when the storyline was announced it was insinuated that the culprit would be someone with close ties to the hospital, which points at these five.

Who is your money on at the moment?

And who do you think could be the next possible victim?
