HOLLYOAKS - Who will win the Savage brothers' final showdown?

Tonight we will say goodbye to Dodger Savage, in Hollyoaks, as he comes to blows with his murderous brother Will in a final, heart-stopping clash.

We've seen Will break out of a courthouse, during his appeal trial in a fab episode, and the drama has risen since. 

Will is out for revenge against Dodger, as he's jealous of the life that he's carved out for himself. Last Friday's first look E4 epsiode saw Will give Dodger the ultimate ultimatum - he could save just one of either Maxine or Theresa. 

Choosing Maxine over Theresa, Dodger was shocked to find his (just as demented as Will!) twin sister Sienna in an abandoned warehouse instead of Maxine. 

Theresa and Maxine are instead trapped on the Savages boathouse, which Will decides to blow up. As he's already facing a double murder sentence, Will really doesn't see himself as having much more to lose, but these new pictures show that Will also has another potential victim up his sleeve - Dodger's daughter/niece (it is Hollyoaks, remember!) Nico... 

The soot-looks on the boys faces point to the boathouse having already gone up in flames. My guess is that Will wasn't able to get away with harming either Maxine or Theresa, so turns his attentions to Nico instead. 

With Will wanting to push the teen to her death, Dodger wastes no time in rushing to save her, ending in the two brothers having their second rooftop brawl (remember the one a couple of years ago, when Will was revealed to be Texas and Anna's killer?) 

The difference this time is that it's been confirmed that the brawl WILL end in life-threatening consequences for someone. Who will it be? And how will crazy Sienna react to Nico being in danger?

There have also been rumours that the mystery gloved-hand killer will strike once again, but will this tie in with the Savage's drama?

I would make a guess that poor Dodge won't live happily ever after, as I don't see how he could up and leave Hollyoaks, and Maxine, behind, as well as Theresa and their baby, Myra-Pocahontas. I hate to say it, but I think Dodger will soon be reunited with Texas in Hollyoaks heaven. 

Whether that's due to Will's rooftop actions or the gloved-hand, remains to be seen. 

Will Will (Will, Will?) survive, though? Or will HE be the gloved-hand victim? Or am I completely down the wrong street, and the mystery murderer kills someone else?

As for the gloved hand... Apart from news cuttings on obsessed Will's prison desk, did we ever find out what happened to Silas, after he ducked out of the village on that bus, and on the run from police? No, I didn't think so, either...

CUCUMBER, BANANA and TOFU: Dramatic, Edgy and Real at C4's best?

You may or may not have heard about Channel 4's new  three-fold drama series, Cucumber, Banana, Tofu, which begins next week. 

The trio of programmes, written by Russel T Davies, will focus on life in the gay community and has been billed as 'controversial but exciting' by Cucumber actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street. 

Cucumber will air on Channel 4 and follows the story of 46-year-old Henry and his boyfriend, Lance, who seem to be in an awkward relationship. Lance, who's upset by the lack of sex between the pair welcomes newcomer, Daniel, into his life - while Henry is drawn to his enigmatic work colleague, Freddie Baxter. But Henry will soon step into a dangerous trap and after cutting ties with Henry, Lance finds out that Daniel may not be as straight as he seems.

Over on E4, Cucumber is followed up with Banana, which focuses in more detail on the younger characters in Cucumber.These include 19-year-old Dean, who's problems are soon to catch with him, no matter how far away he runs. Scotty who's life spirals out of control, after love turns to obsession and Sian and Violet, who discover what could happen when opposites attract. 

Then you have Tofu, which will be an online companion to Cucumber and Banana, taking a look at real-life sex stories from members of the public, exploring all facets of contemporary sex culture.
Each episode of the documentary will be 20-minutes long and look at a different topic through a dynamic combination of interviews, sketch comedy, animation and fantasy elements, along with musical set pieces.
It will be fronted by Benjamin Cook and also have a diverse range of interviewees including the stars of Cucumber and Banana, celebrities, stars of the porn world and members of the public.

Russell T Davies said: "While Cucumber and Banana are fictional, we know that often the sweetest, most heart-warming, most tragic and most heartbreaking stories are real life tales.Tofu is all about highlighting the very real issues that we reference in the fictional shows - it will be a unique mixture of content made by the very talented Benjamin Cook."
Meanwhile, Julie Hesmondhalgh, who plays Henry's sister, Cleo, in Cucumber has asked those viewers who aren't comfortable with the series' scenes to simply turn it off, instead of complaining. 
She said:"It's about sex and love and relationships and mid-life crises... and salad vegetables!

It's full on, and [some] people won't like it… and if you don't like it, please just turn off! It won't be to everyone's taste - it's a Channel 4 series about sex. But it's exciting and wonderful and Russell is just the best writer in the world. But it is an amazing programme and I think it'll cause a lot of controversy!"

Having taken a look at the first couple of episodes, Cucumber and Banana seem to both be gripping dramas, with Cucumber just inching as my favorite of the two - so far.

HOLLYOAKS - Will Mercedes be murdered?

It's been an emotional week for the McQueen's, after the tragic wedding train crash, which killed Carmel.

But if my detective work is correct - Mercedes could be the next member of the clan to be cruelly taken away.

We know that Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercy, is leaving the soap soon - and it's been promised that she'll go with just as much drama as her sister, Carmel.

Mercedes has already rubbed Freddie Roscoe up the wrong way, after revealing to Grace that Freddie killed her dad, Fraser. If you didn't see the drama of last night's E4 first look, then tonight's Channel 4 will catch you right up!

Without spoiling too much, the episode ended with Lindsey going into labour in The Loft, just as she told Freddie that she was handing him in to the police...

It's known that Freddie and Lindsey will give in to their feelings once again, after Freddie delivers the baby, who's not known whether to be his or his brother - and Lindsey's fiance - Joe's. The pair are caught by a mystery person, who goes on to blackmail Freddie.

Before long, this mystery meddler is paid a visit by a sinister individual - and then goes missing.

The meddlers family isn't too worried at first, thinking he or she has just gone on holiday, but when their passport is found at home, the police are called.

Freddie then realises that he's lost his necklace, and returns to the scene of the crime, just before the police think they have enough evidence to launch a MURDER investigation...

Is the missing person Mercedes?

Has Freddie killed, yet again - and what will this mean for Lindsey, him and his possible newborn son?

HOLLYOAKS - NEW WEDDING PICTURES!

It looks like Hollyoaks' Diane and Tony will be tying the knot - despite his affair with stepdaughter Sinead...

Or will they?

These pictures show Diane looking heartbroken outside the church, having just found out about her fiance's infidelity.

Diane, it looks like, is told the truth after reading a note scribbled in a greetings card... but who is behind letting the cat out of the bag?

Sinead has grown genuine feelings for Tony, after first attempting to seduce him to get her own back on her mum, after the death of her baby daughter, Katy, who died after no-one - including Diane - listened to Sinead's pleas that her child was sick. 

What will Tony do once Diane realises the truth?

Tony revealed that he'd fallen for Sinead, too, but she rejected him to save her mum's feelings before falling into Tony's arms once again... 

After reading the message, Diane is said to be seen fleeing the church, tearfully... So will Tony and Sinead get their wish to be together after all?

Sinead also leaves the church...

It's been whispered that both Sinead and Tegan Lomax - who recently had a fling with her sister's ex, Ziggy Roscoe - will both be taking pregnancy tests in the coming couple of weeks - who's pregnant?

Hollyoaks - Will Carmel pay for Theresa's crime?

So this week we saw Theresa's gamble jail break! What did you think? 

For me, it was all a little non-believable. And I hate to say it, as I love to champion Hollyoaks usually. 

The part that was most unbelievable for me was Mercedes' dress up as a doctor - especially her gaining entry into the hospital wards by grabbing a pass from around a 'fellow' doctors' neck without him noticing the tug... Hmm. 

Anyhow, they managed to get pregnant-by-a-prison-guard Theresa out, and with an orange skinned, blonde Myra whacking Sonny over the head... The girls made a short lived getaway. 

As you know if you watched the ep - Sonny returned, cuffed Theresa to a radiator in Browning's old flat and told the McQueen's that the police were on their way. Carmel (after making Sonny promise to not arrest Mercedes, Myra and Phoebe for their parts) then toddled off with her mean man and Theresa's daughter, Kathleen Angel. 

Now this is where my inner soap storyliner comes into play...

We know that a re-arrested Theresa is making a permanent Hollyoaks comeback. And that Carmel (and Mercedes) are off. But how? 

My theories:

Sonny either harms Carmel, which gives way to her exit, and gets arrested...making way for his 'surprise' exit, possibly? And therefore Theresa appeals as she was caught by a bent cop...and she's back giggling and fluttering in the village. 

OR

The McQueen family somehow turn against Carmel, due to her betrayal, and set her up (again, somehow), leaving her languishing in prison for Theresa's crime. Now, this ones a tall order considering that everyone knows that Carmel didn't  kill Calvin, as she was taking part in their first dance with him, while he was shot. But hey, we've all learned that ANYTHING can happen in soapland, right? 

This now leaves the mystery as to how Mercedes leaves the village? Will it be linked to Carmel's exit or will she, too, join her mum and sister over in Alicante?

It seems the Spanish island is becoming McQueen Paradise! 

HOLLYOAKS - Dodger's Nico's dad!

Yep, you read the headline right - Dodger - Sienna's twin brother - is Nico - Sienna's daughter's dad!

And I thought the family connections with the Dingle's in Emmerdale were confusing!

What did you all think to the shock twist in the tale?

As we saw in last night's ep, Sienna herself didn't realise that her brother was her daughter's dad, with only Patrick, Dodger and Sienna's father, knowing the truth. The twins were, of course, separated by their mother as children and, consequently, brought up separately...not knowing about each other until only a couple of years ago.

Anna Passey who plays Sienna spoke to the Hollyoaks Official Website after the reveal:

"At first she is in total shock. Not in a million years did she remotely think it was possible that Dodger could be the father of her daughter, so it knocks her for six. But then as the news settles in, she starts to feel that it makes sense of lots of things. If Dodger found out the news that he was in fact Nico's father, I think he would be entirely freaked out. Dodger would obviously have a normal reaction to it. 

I don't think he would get his head around it. I don't even think he would believe it, and if he was made to believe it, I think he would panic and not want to be anywhere near Sienna or probably Nico sadly!"

Sienna is currently being held captive by Patrick, in a bid to stop her from revealing the truth to Dodger...

Anna continued to explain:

The big question is, does Sienna tell Dodger the news? Well, at first she wants to. Her immediate reaction is, 'Great - let's go there now and tell him. It's going to be fantastic'. But Patrick won't let that happen and he's so worried about Sienna running off to tell him that he locks her in a boiler room, so she's stuck in there. The more time she spends in there, the more she convinces herself it would be a fabulous idea to tell him, so Patrick has definitely got his work cut out for him trying to stop her. But we know what Sienna's like, so she's not going to give up without a fight."

Tonight's episode explores further into how the pair stumbled across their chance encounter, which resulted in Nico.

HOLLYOAKS - Dodger's in danger

Oh Si Si, when will you learn?!

So you've fallen in love with your brother. Your TWIN brother at that and in a desperate attempt to get him to stay in Hollyoaks village, you stab him in the leg.

Just a normal day for the Blake/Savage family, eh!

Those of you who watched last night's E4 first look will know that Dodger has been knifed in the leg by his sister, who also made Maxine believe that Dodger wants her to leave the village without him.

What's going to happen next?

Well, Patrick arrives to find his son, after learning of his daughter's obsession - but Sienna, being one step ahead clasps Dodger's mouth shut, leaving him unable to call out for help. With Dodger bleeding critically, Maxine heading out of the village heartbroken and Sienna not being of much help, who will come to the hunk's aid?

Well, I've already had a teeny sneak peek (okay, okay, an almighty peek!) and as I said yesterday, you will NOT want to miss the outcome of this story.

It possibly answers a lot of questions about how and why Sienna is as messed up as she is, and even why Patrick is as twisted as can be. 

The Blake's lives will never be the same again, that's for sure!

HOLLYOAKS - The Blake family drama continues...

Tonight's E4 Hollyoaks is the beginning of what's to be a massive, shocking Blake family drama.

Last night, we saw Maxine find the hidden webcam, which Sienna planted to spy on her brother's relationship.

We all know that our favourite soap nutter has fallen for her twin brother in recent weeks, and has a twisted plan to have him as her own and create the perfect family for her daughter, Nico.

Maxine is shaken, believing that Patrick actually planted the camera, so insists that she and Dodger should leave Hollyoaks. When Dodge' pays Patrick a visit, humiliating him at the school, Patrick protests his innocence...

But will Dodger believe him?

As I've said, this marks the start of a whole new, shocking plot in Hollyoaks, and trust me... you will be left picking your jaw up from the floor... I definitely was!

Do not - I repeat DO NOT! - miss Hollyoaks this coming week, or next!

HOLLYOAKS - Theresa begins her fight for freedom

Theresa McQueen made a mystery phone call in last Friday's E4 First Look Hollyoaks, and tonight we see who she's relying on for help.

I thought that Theresa might have called upon her Auntie Myra - as we know that she'll soon be returning to the village - but this time Theresa is relying on her (unreliable!) mother Kathleen to help her.

Theresa needs her mums help...

Sonny Valentine promised Theresa that she would have no more to do with her daughter Kathleen-Angel, as he and Carmel were bringing her up together happily. Sonny is, of course, Kathleen-Angel's uncle, brother of Calvin, who was shot dead by Theresa when she first found out that she was pregnant with his baby. 

Knowing that she needs to fight back, as to not lose her little girl, Theresa hopes that her mum will be able to intervene. And Kathleen proves herself willing for the task, making an immediate clash with Sonny!

It was reported this weekend that Carmel McQueen would be leaving 'Oaks, as actress Gemma Merna has decided to move on to pastures new...

HOLLYOAKS - Bye Bye Carmel!

Bye Bye Carmel!

It's was a bit of a sob Sunday for Hollyoaks fans yesterday, as Gemma Merna announced that she would be leaving the soap.

That can only mean one thing... we say 'see ya' to Carmel McQueen, too. *Dries eyes*

After eight years, an upcoming story will see Carmel totter away from Hollyoaks, but how will she go?

Now, we all know that Theresa is returning to the village, havign seen her first appearance in Friday's first look on E4. How will Carmel feel about this, as we all know that she's taken Theresa's daughter, Kathleen-Angel on as her own. Will our Carm' run off with the little'un - or will Theresa go to dramatic lengths to make sure she keeps her baby?

Sonny Valentine is also a massive wrong-un, isn't he! As much as the cop seems to love Carmel, he's no stranger to seeing people off or putting them in danger...

Of course, Carmel could always just chuck on her stilettos and sashay off into the sunset to live with her sister Jacqui in Spain, or, knowing Myra is making a short comeback, Carmel could leave with her mum.

Gemma Merna told the Daily Star Sunday:

"I've had a great time being part of the show for eight years and I'm excited to push myself and explore new avenues. I've got an exciting business launch for later in the year that I'm working on. I also have some great storylines before I go."

Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood added: "The role of Carmel was never in our plan until Gemma Merna tottered into the audition room with a gold lamé handkerchief and thigh-high boots.I'd like to thank her for being a valued company member and for creating one of our most lovable characters."

TONIGHT'S HOLLYOAKS - Shock car crash...

Tonight's E4 first look Hollyoaks will air the shocking car crash as seen in the Six Weeks of Summer trailer. 

It looks as though the car will be carrying one or more members of the Lomax family...as it's their vehicle involved. 

                           

Viewers who watched E4's first look on Friday would have seen Leela reveal to Peri that she is her real mother. With Sam and Danny desperate to keep Peri with them, and having planned to move to New Zealand, will it be them involved in the smash?

Of course, it could also be Peri's real dad Cameron behind the wheel - or Leela herself - if they choose to head off with Peri together. 

Knowing Hollyoaks, though, they could always throw a twist in and see someone steal the Lomaxes car... Heading for peril. 

As the Six Weeks of Summer trailer shows, forensic examiners are at the scene of the crash. Does someone die? And was it a genuine accident or did someone run the car off the road on purpose?

HOLLYOAKS - Maxine finally has her chance to escape...

These pictures show Maxine Minniver finally looking as though she's going to escape from abusive fiance Patrick Blake. But does she manage her getaway?

Maxine arrives at the airport

Looking a million dollars in tonight's E4 Hollyoaks, Maxine is dropped at the airport ready to fly to America to her sister, Mitzeee. (Yes, that's THREE eee's on purpose - we all remember MitzEEE, right?!)

After gaining help from her friends, Dennis and Blessing - Maxne got the funds she needed to make her break, scared for herself and her unborn baby, if she was to stay with the bully headteacher.

Fans have been told, though, to expect one last twist in this tale.

Does Maxine get away?

As we would have seen in the Six Weeks of Summer trailer - Maxine does end up down the aisle with Patrick, so what could possibly happen next?

We've been told that this week hosts some unmissable episodes of Hollyoaks - with the Patrick/Maxine story finally coming to a head.

We finally saw Maxine Minniver pluck up the courage to leave her abusive fiance, Patrick Blake, once and for all.

But tonight, in E4's first look Hollyoaks, Patrick follows Maxine's confidant, Dennis Savage, and tracks her down at the woman's refuge she is staying in.

Patrick has been mentally and physically harming Maxine for the duration of their relationship, even being vile about their unborn baby, who they have been told has Downs Syndrome.

Maxine realises that Patrick has found her...

We already know that Patrick's son, Dodger, has fallen for Maxine - with the pair almost running away together, before Maxine decided to stick with her bullying other half.

With Patrick hot on Maxine's heels, will she come home with him?

And if she does, what will their future hold?

HOLLYOAKS - Will Sandy leave her family?

Tonight's E4 first look Hollyoaks sees Sandy Roscoe decide to up and leave the village, after her warring sons leave her drained.

Sandy's packed her bags...

With Grace Black, who's recovering from being shot by Mercedes McQueen, having revealed to Sandy that Freddie was involved in the shooting, Sandy decides to invite Freddie back into the family home, concerned that he is going off the rails. 

Freddie's brother, Joe, is less than impressed by the decision, as he's still struggling to forgive Freddie for sharing a kiss and pursuing his fiancee, Lindsey. Viewers know that Freddie and Lindsey actually slept together, but Joe is still in the dark about this... For now! 

As a fight breaks out between the brothers, Sandy, at the end of her tether decides to quietly pack up and go. Leaving just a note for her family...

The boys soon discover the note, and race to find their mum at the bus stop. 

Will Joe and Freddie convince Sandy to stay in Hollyoaks?

We know that Gillian Taylforth has decided to leave Hollyoaks, but is tonight the night we say 'see you later' to Sandy, or will the boys manage to convince her to stay?

HOLLYOAKS - Nancy the Cheater: Who saw THAT coming?

As my headline says - 'Nancy the Cheater: Who saw that coming?' Well, I think we saw it coming, but did we guess it would be with RICK... not Robbie, but, yes - RICK!

The sparks between Darren's wife and his half-brother Robbie Roscoe have been flying for weeks now, with Robbie's crush on teacher Nancy becoming stronger by day - or episode.

We saw the pair sat on a bench, with Nancy furious at Darren (as per!), thanks to Sienna...(as per, again!) and it looked as though they were about to kiss...
A few minutes later and Darren rushes into their home, wanting to apologise to his missus, when he finds her shirt crumpled on the floor. Picking it up he goes through to the bedroom (by now, I'm watching through gaps in my fingers half expecting Robbie and Nancy doing god knows what.

Tut Tut, Nancy... Tut Tut!

But no. All we see is an open window and Nancy proclaiming to have 'had a nap.'
That is, until, Darren spots the 'R' belt (viewers will know what I mean). This is the belt which had a whole scene to itself, when Robbie's dad, RICK, proudly announced he'd bought it for his son.

We all know, or can imagine, what happened next - Darren punches a guilty looking Robbie, who's looking at an even guiltier looking Nancy, but Darren and Robbie's half-brother, Joe (who's fiancee, Lindsey, will soon announce her pregnancy - with either Joe or his brother Freddie's baby!) gives Robbie an alibi.

Exhausted yet? I can imagine not as exhausted as Nancy (who has also slept with Joe by the way!)

Everything gets cleared up, where Darren apologises and Nancy proposes (to Darren, by the way).

Nancy then begs Robbie to not 'tell Darren what happened...'

She then appears in the famous folly... telling RICK that it was a mistake to have slept with him! Whaaat!

How did that happen?
And what can Robbie 'not tell Darren?'
Surely Nancy didn't kiss her student, then sleep with his dad?

Roll on tonight's E4 first look. Because I have a feeling that a certain Miss Sienna will have a tiny opportunity to use Nancy's fling to her advantage...

HOLLYOAKS - Will Dennis stop Blessing from leaving?

Dennis Savage faces a race against time tonight to stop Blessing Chambers from leaving Hollyoaks village n tonight's E4 first look.

Having discovered Blessing's note explaining her decision to go, Dennis is gutted that she hasn't left any details as to where she's off to - that is until Frankie Osbourne lets slip that Blessing is returning to her parents'.

Borrowing a school girl's bicycle, in all it's pink glory, Dennis rushes after the bus Blessing is on...

Will Dennis get to Blessing in time?

It's been a tough week for Blessing, who is coming to terms with having to wait on the NHS list for a transgender operation, and then being humiliated by Frankie in The Dog.

Frankie then realised that Blessing has been cutting her arms, as she struggles with waiting for her operation, giving up Dennis and thinking that the best thing to do will be to give up the life she loves in Hollyoaks, returning home as Tyson, who her parents believe her to be. 

Will Blessing listen to Dennis' pleas and return home to Hollyoaks with him?

As Dennis reaches Blessing, will he persuade her to come back to the village with him? And if he does, will he realise the extent of Blessing's heartache and stop her from self-harming any longer?

HOLLYOAKS - Trevor Royle's shock return...

Grace Black will have yet another shock next week when her ex, Trevor Royle, makes a surprise reappearance at her flat. 

Trevor is currently in prison, having been charged with the murder of Grace's dad, Fraser, but due to new developments - Trevor is released - but what exactly are these 'new developments'? 

                                                

While fans will have to wait and see where the police are turning their attentions to next in the enquiry, we'll also have to see whether or not Trevor and Grace can rebuild their broken relationship. 

Grace has had her fair share of heartache this last week, having under-handedly gotten off an attempted murder charge and then being accidentally shot by Mercedes McQueen. 

What the will future hold, now?

HOLLYOAKS - Maxine finally escapes Patrick's clutches

Fans of Hollyoaks will be cheering when Maxine Minniver finally plucks up the courage to leave her abusive partner, Patrick Blake - but not before he injures her once more.

Maxine, who is pregnant with Patrick's baby, gets on the wrong side of her bullying man when she heads out to a surprise Hen Party that Blessing Chamber's has organised for her at The Loft. 

Dragging Maxine outside, Patrick, who has also recently threatened his granddaughter, Nico, goes too far when he confronts Maxine on the balcony of the club - resulting in her losing her balance and falling down the stairs.

Maxine finally seeks help after Patrick's latest attack

At the hospital, where Maxine rushes to after thinking she has lost her baby as a consequence of the fall, a nurse spots Patrick's behavior and secretly hands Maxine a card for a women's refuge. Realising that she needs to escape for her baby's sake, if not her own, Maxine plucks up the courage to get help.

While Maxine's pal, Dennis Savage, is thrilled that she's finally escaped evil Patrick - will Maxine have the strength to stay away for good?

HOLLYOAKS - Sienna finally finds Nico...

Next week, Sienna finally manages to find her daughter, Nico, after the teen's disappearing act following Patrick's threats.

Nico was last seen in the Folly, after her grandfather, Patrick, told her to disappear or else he would kill her... What a nice man!

Sienna, having finally realised that Nico was her daughter all along, disowned her dad after seeing through Patrick's lie's once and for all.

When Leela Lomax finds Nico hiding out at the McQueen's house, she tells Sienna, who rushes over to find her daughter.

Sienna and Nico reunite

Nico then spills the beans about Patrick's threats - leaving Sienna reeling.

Confronting Patrick, the mother and daughter duo receive an apology, to which Nico accepts - with Sienna happily unaware of her father and daughter plotting against each other.

Has Patrick meet his match in young Nico?

Meanwhile, there's more good news in store for Sienna, as Tom Cunningham decides to change his statement about her abducting him... (Remember when Sienna went nutty, and locked him away for months and tried to kill Nancy?)

Well it looks as though she's going to get her fresh start.

But will it be a happy one?
