CORRIE - Will Not Guilty Peter be found Guilty?

It's a rare occasion when I dip in to write a Corrie blog, not because I don't watch the soap - I do - but as I've mentioned before, I find that they just aren't as popular as other soaps I ramble on about!

But tonight is quite a biggie, and so I thought deserved some attention.

Peter Barlow is to find out whether a jury finds him Guilty or Not Guilty of Tina McIntyre's murder.

We all know that he didn't kill his lover - who he broke off with just minutes before the attack which led to her death -  but it was Rob Donovan, who's engaged to Peter's sister Tracy - who's also been in prison for murder!

Poor old Peter hasn't had it easy in court. He's had his alcohol addiction thrown at him, anger issues brought up and even his best pal admitted that he thought he could've done it!

There was some light, however, when Peter's estranged wife, Carla (who's also Rob Donovan's sister), told the court that she didn't think Peter was Tina's murderer - due to him saying that he'll go down 'for her' and keep 'her secret about killing Tina' while he was lay up half-comatose in hospital.

So what will the jury decide?

Either way it'll be a surprise until the episode airs tonight, as Corrie has done in the past with big court verdict - such as Tracy's guilty verdict for killing her man at the time and Tracey's mother Deirdre Barlow's. Who can forget 'Free the Weatherfield One', as Deirdre was wrongly sent down for fraud?

Those Barlow's certainly don't have much luck when it comes to court verdicts...maybe Peter can change that?

If he's found guilty, then surely the truth will come out eventually - especially with both actors who play Peter and Rob leaving around Christmas.

Corrie bosses have teased that one exit will be explosive and the other very sad.

My bets are on Tracy being responsible for Rob's downfall, especially as he's soon to leave her at the altar. Brave man!

Bosses have also said that Carla and Peter will soon tie up any loose ends in their relationship, and get closure. So maybe he's found Not Guilty and then leaves the Street alone? After all, he's left his son, Simon, who's settled Leanne, behind before.

Saying this - I think I'll go for a guilty verdict tonight...with justice being served in the end, and the truth coming out with a Christmas bang!

But with my money being on Peter to have the 'sad' exit - let's just hope it's not a case of too little too late for him.
