This year's The X Factor, will still be exactly that, but with a few surprise changes to the format and judge line-up, according to new rumours.
It's good news as far as I'm concerned, as a fan of the show, I think it needs a bit of a spruce up to keep us long-time viewers hooked and also to bring in a new bunch of sofa judges!
Richard Holloway, who is a producer on the show, has hinted according to The Mirror:
"There will be some exciting changes, The name of the show will stay the same but we are looking at format and the judges. There will be some surprises this year. But I can't go into detail... It is safe to say Simon is staying,"
Phew, I'm glad that Simon will still be there. Love him or hate him, he's everyone's secret favourite judge!
The current judges, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B will be in talks next month about their part in the years series, with the judges officially named in May.
Richard Holloway also said:
"We have been making the show for 10 years and to make it popular you have to refresh the show. You need to look at every aspect and move with the times. There is an ongoing battle with Strictly. On overall volume they beat us last year. It has been a few years since we beat them on overall volume."It is quite interesting, the split of the audience. It is very defined."
