After it being revealed to us 'Enders addicts that
Shirley was Mick's muvva and not his sister, and with the return of Shirl's (other) son, Dean Wicks - along with the additions of Stan and Aunt Babe (I love her name!) it seems only fitting that the Carter clan get a new portrait to take pride of place.
The family have been such a hit with viewers, and I think they've managed to fit on to EastEnders like a glove to a hand.
Things, it seems, will only get better, as Mick and Linda's eldest boy, Lee, is set to make a full-time return to Walford from the Army, Tina is about to plan babies with Tosh and as in all soaps, secrets never stay secret for long, so Mick is bound to find out that Shirley gave birth to him!
I also see a possible romance between Dean and Stacey Slater, when she finally gets outta the nick for killing Archie Mitchell. I'm looking forward to seeing how she manages that so soon after being sentenced!
The Carter's been a breath of fresh air to Walford - I just hope one of them didn't kill Lucy Beale!
