CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER - Best line up yet?

We were promised the best line up yet for this year's first Celebrity Big Brother - and maybe, just maybe, we got it...

Some of the new housemates may not be as well known as others (but isn't this something we always expect?) and some fans have it out at there being too many Americans in the house (but I do think the U.S. housemates are a good mix, for once).

We then have the people who are well known, but, as BBOTS presenter Rylan had said earlier this week, they're not staples on the current reality TV circuit.

This bunch, from what I see so far - and along with the twisted fairytale theme - will make a great series.

Here's my humble opinion on the newest CBB housemates:

Alexander O'Neal:
The RnB singer, to me, seems like he'll find it hardest to fit into the group. although he has said that he's up for a 'challenge' while being in the house.
He's already up for the first public vote, after Katie Hopkins decided that he was one of the two most boring housemates. I wouldn't call him boring, but I can imagine that he'll be one of those who fades into the background - so technically he may be there for a while as he may not be someone to stick out in peoples minds to nominate...

Alicia Douvall:
She screams 'insecure' at me.
The model has said to have had around 330 cosmetic operations, but, bless her, they've clearly not made her feel any better about herself. She's already said that she doesn't cook or clean, which could be her downfall, should she get the 'lazy housemate' label. I don't think she'll last too long in there, to be honest.

Calum Best:
He's my absolute favourite male in there. I really liked Calum from years before, so when I heard that he was a possible housemate, I was excited.
He's had his demons in the past, so will probably be one of the wisest people in the house, he seems like a lovely gent and his dad, George, is probably beaming with pride from heaven.
Calum will have to do something major to change my opinion of him. He's the Best. (Pardon the pun!)

Cam Li:
Who? Was my first question when I saw her head in to the house. I then realised that she was the girl engaged to Kirk from TOWIE for a very short period of time. I'm not sure whether or not she seems like a sweet girl underneath the ' I've arrived!' exterior. Time will tell, I guess!

Chloe Goodman:
Again, I wasn't sure who she was... I'd never watched Ex on the Beach, so I don't have any previous opinion of Chloe.
From reading up on her she seems like a down to earth girl, who wants to just show the world who she really is, rather than the interpretation made of her. Unluckily for Chloe, Katie also chose her as the second person to be up for eviction. Between her and Alexander, I'm not sure who will leave yet.

Jeremy Jackson:
He was in Baywatch, and knows The Hoff, so probably has a few good stories to tell. He also won his Baywatch role over Leonardo DiCaprio, which I'd imagine was no mean feat. I think he and Calum will probably get a bromance started pretty quickly.

Katie Hopkins:
Where do I start?! I dislike 9/10 things this woman says, and disagree with just as many of her opinions, which only means one thing. She'll probably be a fantastic housemate!
The opinions she was giving during her secret task as the housemates were going in had me both gasping and laughing at the tellybox.
She'll probably be evicted at first chance, which is a shame - because as nasty as she can be, she's definitely going to great TV!

Kavana:
Oh bless him, he's really trying to hang on to that last thread of fame. I mean, most recently he joined the Big Reunion as part of a new boy band, 5th Story, made up of old pop star pin ups, and he just about remembered their names! I'm sure he's a lovely guy, and he might go far, as like Alexander, probably won't rub too many people up the wrong way.

Keith Chegwin:
Everyone likes Keith, don't they?
He'll probably, slowly, get on most of the housemates nerves with his wacky ways - but viewers will like him. And he's also had a decent sized career, met a good few celebs, so will have more than a few stories to tell! He's also a massive Big Brother fan, which is what we want in a celeb housemate!

Ken Morley:
It's Reg, from Corrie! He also seems a bit wacky and I'm putting money on him giving us a few laughs along the way.
He'll also, most probably get stuck in with any tasks and try to get'down with the kids'. Along with Reg, we also have Nadia and Patsy, who were both in EastEnders and Emmerdale, respectively. We could have a brand new soap opera gong on here!

Michelle Visage:
Again, I don't know anything about this housemate - which part of me likes, as it's like the civilian BB, where you have to get to know people without any pre-judgement.
Michelle seems the kind of person who will speak her mind and go a tad crazy every now and again.

Nadia Sawalha:
I like Nadia, she seems a laugh and if her chats on Loose Women are anything to go by, she's not afraid to speak her mind. I actually think that she's my fave female housemate, so far.
She's also a fan of the show and is looking forward to living with Katie Hopkins, as she's heard that Katie's 'pretty funny' and doesn't believe that anyone can be that nasty. Will Nadia tame Katie, and become her new best bud?

Patsy Kensit:
I also like Patsy, and I think that her and Nadia are pretty similar, and will be great mates in the house. I can also imagine that after a few glasses of wine Patsy will really come out of her shell and be a 'hoot' to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings.

Perez Hilton:
Perez's website has always made me chuckle, especially when I think back to my days as a junior showbiz writer. He really doesn't care what he says. If he thinks it, he'll say it. Remind you of anyone? Yes - Katie Hopkins! I think these two will come to more than a couple of blows, which will be great viewing for us!

So, there's my opinion of this years lot, so far...

As we always know, things can change daily in there - and so can our opinions!

Katie is currently on a secret mission, of being nice to everyone, under the magic mirrors instructions. Will she pull it off? Will anyone else go up against Alexander and Chloe for the public vote?

I'm already looking forward to tonight's catch up show!

EASTENDERS - Lucy: BIGGEST clue yet?

Eagle-eyed fans online have possibly sussed what could be THE biggest clue to date in the Lucy Beale murder mystery.

Think back to that amazing Children In Need special, where Lucy visited her dad Ian, as he tried to complete a crossword puzzle. Ian was confronted by ghosts of his past, including Pat Butcher, ex-wife Cindy and of course his murdered daughter.

Both Ian and Denise were the only two still-living characters in the sketch - but it's neither of them who the armchair detectives have accused on Twitter.

At the end of the sketch, Ian asked Lucy who killed her - but instead of answering his question, she instead told her dad that she had finished his crossword for him... She had written 'I LOVE YOU'.

But check out what was written underneath, in a puzzled way...

Can you see? It says 'LEE STOP IT!'

Could this be a message from beyond Walford's graves? Could Lee Carter, who's shown his violent temper in recent weeks, really be Lucy's killer?

I doubt that the EastEnders bosses would give such an almighty clue, knowing that it possibly could be rumbled by arm-chair detectives. But it certainly is food for thought...

What do you all think?

HOLLYOAKS - Brand new trailer has arrived!

Those lovely people at Hollyoaks are spoiling us yet again with an exciting New Year trailer, which sees the gloved-hand killer make another murderous move...

With Jason Roscoe seen entering the hospital after being run over by his twin brother, Robbie, will he be the next victim?

Other storylines highlighted are Will and Sienna targeting the women in Dodger's life - Maxine and Theresa. Will is seen telling Dodger that he can only save one of either Maxine or Theresa, as the girls go missing - but there's also a fire on the Savages boathouse. Where are the girls? Will Dodge perish in the flames, or will HE be the one at the mercy of the gloved-hand should he lay injured in hospital?

Elsewhere, rather interestingly, is the hint that Mercedes McQueen could still be alive, as she appears to have sold her share of The Loft to Freddie Roscoe.
But as Freddie has been accused by the McQueen's and the police of Mercedes' murder, will this make him look even more guilty?
I don't think Freddie's guilty, nor do I think all is as it seems about Mercedes' fate...

Cameron is also about to be exposed as the driver who accidentally killed Sam and Danny Lomax, and the first footage of Ste Hay's HIV heartache is also seen.

Nancy turns to Trevor in her hunt for more drugs, as her addiction is well and truly back to haunt her - and she also shares a steamy kiss with Joe Roscoe!

Take a look at the new trailer by clicking here.

2015 certainly looks set to be Hollyoaks' most explosive year, yet!

HOLLYOAKS - Could Sienna & Will team up? If so, it can only end in disaster...

As if our Si Si needs any more help in becoming completely crazy - she's soon to meet up with half-brother Will Savage. You know, the murdering, psychopathic one? (And unlike Ronnie Mitchell, Will's action's were pre-meditated and can't be forgiven by us soapies!)

The people at Hollyoaks surprised us over the festive season with a shock return from Will, who was writing to his father, Dirk, as he awaits his appeal over killing his mum, Anna, and wife Texas. Dirk does decide to go and visit his son, who is plotting his prison escape, should his appeal fail.

Either way, Will does manage to get out of jail (my bet is his appeal is accepted, and God knows how - but, after all, we've already had a Theresa McQueen escape plot recently) and he meets with none other than Sienna, who's on her way to hand herself in to police following her Christmas antics of kidnapping her twin brother, Dodger, keeping him locked in Anna's basement, until he falls in love with her! (As you do!)

What will happen when Sienna bumps into Will?
As the pair meet up once again, could Will stop Sienna in her tracks and instead team up with her to get their own wicked ways?

In my opinion, Will really is 'Wicked Will', whereas Sienna is damaged. Like my other soap fave Ronnie Mitchell, I love the character of Sienna and she can be forgiven for being a bit nuts every now and then!

But under Will's influence, Sienna could go from bad to worse. What will this mean for Dodger?

Because Will's return is tying in with Dodger's departure... Could it be another life at his hands?

EASTENDERS - Ben kisses Jay and Nick's reveal!

There's gonna be a hell of a lot of trouble and strife for the Mitchell/Cotton's  in the coming weeks, as secrets and lies begin to tumble out and come to a head.

Following the fabulous (did I mention how good it was!?) New Years Day episode, which has left Ronnie in a coma (were you all on tenterhooks, as she came back to life?) and Emma Summerhayes dead, and keeping with her the knowledge of who killed Lucy Beale, the Mitchell's have been well and truly done over by that dastardly Nick Cotton.

Going back briefly to the New Years Day episode - I haven't felt THAT involved in something I've watched on the telly for as long as I can remember. Everything was right about it. It kept us guessing, it had us feeling every emotion possible. Ronnie Mitchell is one of my favourite characters because she has colour, and a multitude of layers. She really is the perfect Mitchell. Many other bloggers and entertainment writers have slated Ronnie, for she's a murderer (correct), but I believe that in soaps, you can be forgiven for such deeds. Look at JR in Dallas. He did some terrible things, but we forgave him because of who he was. Deep down he always came through when his family needed him. Just like our EastEnd Mitchell's.
Some call Ronnie a psychopath. I think that she killed Carl White as she was scared for her life. And as I mentioned before - on the telly, you can forgive and forget a characters actions quite easily!

Back to the aftermath of the New Year ep - we now have Phil Mitchell in prison, after Nick wormed his way into Yvonne's affections, causing her to cover his lies and set Phil up.

Well, it seems that only Sharon and Ben will really believe that Phil's innocent, while Max Branning and Charlie Cotton are after Phil's blood. And what better way than to try and vengefully stitch up Ben, who's taken control of the Arches for his dad.

When Ben notices that something's not quite right with Max's dodgy deal, Ben angrily trashes the car lot, stopped only by Charlie.

Ben then turns to Jay for support - totally misreading the signals and tries to kiss him!

The trouble then tumbles over into the Cotton household, as when Ben is stopped trashing the car lot by Charlie, he then lays into the Mitchell teen himself, having been reminded by Nick that the Mitchell's are responsible for Ronnie's condition.

Charlie's mum Yvonne manages to step in and Charlie soon leaves Ben alone, but is even more shocked when Yvonne confesses that it was Nick who was really responsible for the crash.

Yvonne is then forced into lying further when Charlie quizzes her about how long she's known about what Nick did.

When Charlie confronts Nick, he is quick to protest his innocence and swears on Charlie and Ronnie's baby's life that Yvonne isn't telling the truth...

As Nick slowly twists the situation, in a way only he can, Yvonne desperately tries to prove that she's telling the truth, but who will Charlie believe?

CBB - Rylan Clark promises 'strong' line-up

Wednesday night sees the return of Celebrity Big Brother and while a new series of the show always excites, this year's making me want to watch even more so than usual.

For starters, the promised 'twisted fairytale' theme has the makings of a uber-fantastic run, as there are so many opportunities and turns that a theme like that could take. And that's just in my mind. Maybe I should go for a role there as a task planner?!

We've also been teased about this one being the best series to date, as both show host Emma Willis and BBOTS host Rylan Clark have both revealed their favourite part of the show is the castings - and this one's not to be missed.

Rylan has teased this further today, by telling Metro that this winter won't be 'the usual' suspects.

The presenter said:

"We've got a very, very strong line-up. We've pretty much got everyone, but a contestant is never confirmed until they walk through the doors because anything can happen up until the day they go in."

Rylan also hinted that we won't be seeing a handful of already reality stars become a housemate this series.

"We're trying to steer away from reality stars but there may be one. Maybe not one that's very well known, it's not your usual line-up!"

I've already heard whispers of Daniella Westbrook, Perez Hilton and (my favorite, so far) Calum Best to name a few, but I've got even higher hopes after Rylan's interview.

Who's looking forward to Wednesday's launch show just as much as I am?

EastEnders - Lucy's back in - (well) - a flashback special!

I'm still recovering from the fabulous New Years Day episode, and the guys and girls at 'Enders have decided to throw yet more excitement our way!

EastEnders have now revealed that they're set to welcome back a few old characters in what's set to be the 'pearl' in their anniversary week episodes.

The special ep will be a flashback to Good Friday and will reveal what happened to Lucy on the night she was killed and why - filling in the many blanks we all have!

Hetti Bywater, who played Lucy, Jamie Lomas, who was Jake Stone and Tanya Franks, who plays Rainie Cross are all returning to their roles so that every aspect of Good Friday night are shown.

As we already know, Rainie was paid by Lucy's dad, Ian Beale, for sex that night - after an almighty row with his daughter. Jake Stone, who Lucy's best mate Lauren Branning had a fling with, after meeting at an alcohol counselling meeting, also shared a taxi with Lucy on the night she was killed.

Speaking of her return as Lucy, Hetti Bywater said: "It's great to be part of the conclusion and find out what really happened the night Lucy Beale died."

Jamie Lomas commented: "It is an honour and a privilege to be part of the 30th anniversary celebrations. It was always part of the plan between Dominic and myself that I would come back for this special episode that will fill the blanks in for the viewers. I always loved my time atEastEnders so I can't wait to get back and start filming these scenes."

Tanya Franks added: "It's fab to be back celebrating the 30th anniversary of EastEnders. Where have the last three decades gone?! So, if you want to find out if Rainie was really with Ian Beale on the night Lucy Beale died, then all will be revealed!"

The episode will be written by Jesse O'Mahoney, who was also responsible for last year's Good Friday ep, which saw Lucy's lifeless body left on Walford Common after she walked off into the night...

EastEnders' executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins explained:

"When we first created the 'Who Killed Lucy Beale?' storyline, we knew that we had to flash back to the night that she died on screen. So much happened on Good Friday 2014 after viewers saw Lucy leave her home and walk off into the night – and this flashback episode will fill in the pieces for the rest of that night, before she was killed. This also gives us the opportunity to have some fun with other characters, with new twists appearing in old storylines as secrets from the year before are revealed. With the added live element for some scenes, this is going to be an extremely special episode and the pearl within our week of celebratory episodes for EastEnders' 30th birthday."

Because the episode will be broadcast during Anniversary Week, which will also see Peggy Mitchell return, some aspects will be pre-recorded, and others will be live - with a main live whole episode also being aired during that week, which I'm presuming will included the reveal of Lucy's murderer.

Only just over six weeks to go!
