EASTENDERS - Luckiest boobs ever...

An the winners are - Kat and Alfie Moon!

What did you all think when the Moons were the lucky lotto winners at the end of last night's EastEnders?

When the story was announced, I went through a phase of not quite thinking Kat or Alfie would be the millionaire winners, just because of the predictability of it all.
Even as the episode aired last night, I still wondered if it would be too obvious if the winners were to be them.
But it wasn't, and it was played beautifully.

The whole episode was full of quirks, laughs and 'old Walford', if you ask me.

Not just focusing on the Moons, but the scene where the Beale's social worker sat on Martin's condom wrapper (yep, he and ex-wife Sonia had a one night stand), and Ian swiping it away from her behind was a great sense of slapstick comedy. Then the drama followed, as Cindy, upset that the social worker wasn't pleased, possibly ruining Ian and Jane's chances of taking on her baby, Beth, let it all out at Sonia, who was gutted to be outed in front of her new girlfriend, Tina. Will their already troubled relationship last? Probably not, just because of Sonia conflicting feelings about what she actually wants...

Back to the Moons, and their trip into London.

I've seen on social media, that some viewers cringed at Kat and Alfie in the posh restaurant, but I thought it was a lovely build up to their win.
Kat felt she didn't fit in, and that the 'classier' diners were above her. Really she's above them. She's real, Alfie's real and they have real love.
Thy got back together (forever, I hope, this time!) and the two of them found themselves once again. They had each other, a bag of chips, the risk of a splinter to their bums and a scratch card that was bought so blase.
Just as we all have done before...
Kat and Alfie were home and in the midst of their getting back together passion, when they remembered the card.
Alfie rubbed it onto Kat's boobs, for luck, and we heard their shrieks through Stacey, who was on her laptop, in bed.
Alfie had scratched the card, to find their fortune. Just as any one of us would do. So who's to say it's predictable, when any one of us could actually win the lotto. Be it tonight, tomorrow or next month. Even next year.

I might buy a scratch card this weekend in homage to Kat and Alfie. I don't expect to win, just as they didn't. Just as real life lotto winners didn't expect to.

If I get the same luck as the Moons did, I'll let you know!
