This week was Mel B's turn to lose an act as Jake Quickenden left the competition, leaving Simon Cowell the only judge with all of his four contestants.
Movie Week proved to be the weakest week, I thought, for the acts that are usually on the money. Lauren Platt, Only The Young and Jake all usually impress me but this week something was lost. Even Ben Haenow and Lola Saunders looked perplexed.
However, it was the best week for troubled boy band Stereo Kicks, who literally kicked it with a stunning Beatles performance. Maybe mentor Louis should insult and upset them by saying he doesn't want all eight of them in the group every week! All joking aside, Simon was right to say how out of order it was of Louis to say this. Regardless as to whether Lou Lou wanted all eight in the group when the judges put them together, he knew they were eight when he chose them for live shows... Stevi Ritchie also pulled off his best performance as yet. He was Footloose indeed!
The best ever this week were Fleur, who's fast becoming my ultimate fave, and Andrea. It was also Paul Akister's best week.
When Only The Young and Jake were announced as bottom two, I didn't know who would go and in my opinion, Jake was the better in the sing off...
I was sad to see him go, as was Mel.
Next week is #XFactorFrightNight - who'll be frightfully good? And who will just be frightful?
