Jamie Borthwick, who plays
EastEnders' Jay Brown has confirmed that his character actually wants to be wth Lola Pearce and not his girlfriend, Abi Branning.

Jay and Abi have been dating for a couple of years now, but Jay has been growing closer to the couple's friend, Lola, who is currently with Peter Beale, over the last few months.
"This is
EastEnders - Abi and Jay couldn't have lived happily ever after! On top of all that Jay is now 20 years old and he is starting to realise that there are other women out there. It's a big sea, and it's full of fish,' Jamie told
Inside Soap magazine.
Jamie also thinks that Jay's feelings could be a replica of how Phil Mitchell feels about his Shirley Carter and Sharon Rickman love triangle.
"Who should Phil and Jay be with?" Jamie asks. "For Jay, his head says he should be with Abi - but his heart says Lola."

Jay will also be the lucky Walford resident to catch Abi's dad, Max Branning,
having an affair with Lucy Beale murder detective Emma Summerhayes next week.
He also hopes that Jay doesn't turn out to be Lucy's killer...
"I would be really upset if the killer turned out to be Jay because it would mean I was probably leaving EastEnders."
